I completely agree, but with Final Fight there is always MAIME, and it's free. So thanks for saving me money Capcom/Sony.

"Rampant PSN Sharing"? I thought that was encouraged by Sony.

That's the confusing thing. Pique has more than one meaning. 2 of them are opposite ends of the spectrum.

Never encouraged by Sony.

Jack Trenton spoke out of turn during a presentation and people treat it as the gospel truth.

The EULA specifically states that users can not do so (Bullet points on Item 3 and Item 9)

Digital Rights Management. It's a system set in place to prevent piracy, copying of games/movies/cds, and in this case sharing of games across multiple consoles with only one purchase.

Imagine everything in the universe put into a bowl. Take a dump in that bowl, put a search bar on it then you've got Google.

Intrusive DRM is lame. I'd love to see a boycott of this game on PS3, though I doubt it will happen.

Well, I was just about to buy it the other day when I saw the article here. So I'm boycotting it and my friend who was going to get it is boycotting it too, if that counts? Luckily Afterburner came out so my $10 isn't just going to waste sitting in my wallet : P

I love how this DRM is to prevent "game sharing" on a game that everyone and their mother has been able to download for the past decade. You would think that Capcom would offer a bit of good will to the people (like myself) that've actually purchased this, rather than deliberately making everything a hassle.

The whole mess just seems really counterproductive.

Who is out there not always signed into the PSN? I mean if you sign into psn to download the game why are you not signed in all the time?

Unless you're a really lucky bastard, surely you've experienced the occasional network outage. Be it a matter of minutes, hours, or even days, do you want your game to become unplayable because you cannot connect to the Internet? I sure as hell don't.

There's many reasons this hinders people. What if their internet connection drops? What if their internet is disconnected due to late payment yet they still want to play their games until they get back online? There was even a commenter mentioning his internet dropping constantly due to upgrading of wiring in his area. Just a few reasons.

"I mean if you sign into psn to download the game why are you not signed in all the time?"

Because I'm not. I don't have an internet connection at home these days because I'm moving soon. And sometimes my router doesn't feel like cooperating anyway. And sometimes internet connections go do. And that's the exact reason I'm not buying this game. But I will account share Mega Man 10 if I decide to get the PS3 version.

Very disappointing. Out of the 10 or so PSN games i own, more than half are capcom games, including FF:DI. The game is great, but i'll probably be more cautious when buying future PSN games from them. I was surprised to find this out last week when i lost internet access, but i assumed that it was just a mistake, given that the other games worked fine. It's unfortunate to find out that this wasn't the case.

Sony really needs to change or eliminate game sharing and just have purchases locked to consoles. It shouldn't be up to the companies to have to employ these kinds of tactics.

I don't get how Sony could be behind the root kit fiasco and then release a console with DL game "sharing"

There's actually games on PSN that have sharing disabled. So, they should just use that on a case by case basis. The companies, I mean. Not this. This just seems kind of stupid, and not full well knowing the system.

But then you can't play it on your other accounts. :( I just wish they would lock it to the console so that anyone logged in can play all the games that were purchased using that system.

I have two PS3s. One in the living room and one in the "projector room." I take one with me on business trips. I'm sure as hell not going to buy two copies of a game just because I decide to use one machine instead of the other at any given time.

I'm tired of getting angry and writing pointless words as to why I'm angry about something a company does that's anti-consumer. It's pointless because they won't change. So, from now on, all I'm going to post is:
