Hot on the heels of the Madden NFL 11 announcement revealing Drew Brees for the cover, the votes have been tallied for the teams featured in the requisite pre-release demo: it'll be the Jets vs. Colts. The news comes via the official Madden NFL site, where voting was opened in late March to decide whether the demo would recreate the AFC Championship game, the NFC Championship game or the Super Bowl. There must've been a lot of disgruntled Jets fans voting in that poll.
Anxious to know when to expect the demo, Joystiq contacted EA Sports. A spokesperson was kind enough to reveal that the developer was aiming to hit the virtual gridiron sometime in "late July."

What a lousy game to demo. A team that didn't deserve to even be in the playoffs, and a terribly bland team aside from their god of a quarterback.

Yes a team that had the number one defense and running game didn't deserve to be in the playoffs, shut your hole.

The D and run stats are meaningless in light of week 16. They got into the playoffs because the Colts chained down Manning and let them. End of story. Oh wait, that's not the end of the story, the end was when the Colts served poetic justice and sent the Jets packing.

Hey! No one speaks ill of Manning on my internets!
The Colts are just efficient. In the same way a shark is. A nearly perfect predator.
Honestly, this game was boring to watch. I don't want to play it again. Well, unless it lets me replay the 4th quarter so I can take Dwight Freeney out so he doesn't get hurt and we win the Super Bowl.
Honestly, I'd rather have taken the SB game.

Cool choice for the teams. Like this idea rather than the typical superbowl matchups we've seen in previous years.

How minuscule the difference between last year's edition is Maddening.
I know people always harp on this about the Madden franchise, but 10 actually did some things to differentiate itself from the 00s. But now, I can't tell the difference between 11 and 10 if you set some screenshots of them next to each other.
Also, I feel bad for Brees and the New Orleans fans...he got the cover.

Already preordered my copy for $40 through EA. That should be the price for Madden every year.

Lions vs Rams. That way, we can finally settle who had the worst team last season.

The voting was very screwed up for which game was to be on the demo. there was two games involving the saints. Which obviously split up the saints fans. But whatever. Saints still won the superbowl, which makes me smile evertytime. WOoohoooo.

Hope you guys have a good backup QB now that Brees is on the Madden cover. The jinx is real.

By that logic then the Colts votes were split too.

Time to change the past.
Maybe this time Manning won't mind read the defense in the 2nd half.

The Jets are going to be sick next season. Adding Cromartie, Taylor, LT, Holmes, Jenkins back from IR and drafting Wilson. Shame they cut TJ but I'd bet that kid from Iowa Green is going to run for at least 1,200 and 10.
As a Bears fan I'm glad we got big Pep but would like to have seen us add another wideout over Maulamauleuna.

Bears also picked up Chester Taylor. Nice add, especially taking from a division rival.

They should have the demo be the Vikings vs Saints divisional game. It would also be a good time for EA to show the new feature where the team with the biggest sob story can take control of the refs and win the game! Saints fans would need a lot of help, as Madden is under the false reality that Adrian Peterson is a good running back, Giving him a 99 overall.

Game is going to suck again. Tacklers just sliding past blocking, DBs and LBs(!) jumping to intercept passes at least 10 feet in the air, and tron jogging. Just watch the vid and imagine the ground not being there. It looks like one of those tech demos where they are running in place. Madden takes no skill, the CPU cheats and those who are good at the game just use the CPU to their advantage. And those who know more of the tricks, not necessarily the way to play real football, will be the ones who usually win.
Pass.
Pass.

Another thing superstar mode either they should improve it or just take it out of the game.
