It's probably the most non sequitur trailer we've seen in a while and definitely the craziest Skate 3 trailer yet. Check it out above.

wow. if I can really hit peds with my skateboard in this game...it will be the best skateboarding game ever. I'm very curious about the zombie part, spotted dem bones and a hall of meet skin, and the part where the guy jumps over the car while the board slides under it was real nice. can't wait. day one.

I also noticed Isaac Clarke from Dead Space in there. Looks like a fun game.

When the first Skate game came out, it was hailed as the cure for all the THPS nonsense that was going on at the time. And now look, it's buying into all the zany annoying antics that THPS fell into. What happened?

Yeah, true, but these are still good. We'll wait and see.

Big difference is THPS changed it's core mechanics into zaney stupid shit. Ala viva la Bam... This is just giving goofy bonus stuff to do. Some thought the same by adding the Hall of Meat campaign portion in Skate 2, game was still great and amazing.
Don't count Skate out. In fact, you probably shouldn't even bother comparing it to THPS. That's like comparing Final Fantasy to Elder Scrolls. Sure they're both skate games, but two entirely different takes on the same genre.

It's EA. Everyone liked to suck them off now because they're not Activision, but just because you're not Satan doesn't mean you're not still in the nine circles, so to say.

See, what I like about Skate is that it has something for everyone. For the purists, you can now even set up hardcore mode to make it that much more realistic. For the people that like the arcade style and action, they can go for the big bails and insane tricks.

Well, actually, I'm happy for the being able to hit pedestrians in this game addition. Peds in Skate 1 and 2 pissed me off. Because they'd either stand in your way when you're trying to do a trick/line. Or would all crowd around to watch you skate and be where you're supposed to land. All peds did was ruin the skating factor, just like they do in realife.(The countless times I've had people decided to stay where I'd been landing for the last 10 minutes then get pissed when I'd almost hit them and have to bail out and ruin my ankle. Then there was always someone to steal my damn board when I fell. Sorry, just hate peds when skating, they're annoying in game and in real life) Basically, being able to beat them out of your spot is a good addition, even when playing the demo I wish I could've done that because they were constantly screwing me over.

Haven't played the other Skates, but is it just me or is the series kind of going the route of the later Tony Hawk games? Not in game play, but in attitude? Seems a tad on the wacky side if you ask me.
That opinion aside, I can't wait to actually do all that stuff!

i don't think so. pause it and it just looks like a person, maybe female, with white track pants, red socks, white shoes, black shirt and a hat.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks Skate is going the way of Tony Hawk. Seriously, bucking pedestrians with your board? It was a meaningless addition to "American Wasteland", and it's meaningless here. My only hope is that 'Hardcore' mode is as good as it sounds.

How did the graphics get worse from Skate to Skate 3?

Very much looking forward to this game, loved numero Dos. I am, however, a bit afraid that if the random craziness (as big a fan as I am of random craziness) continues to increase and develop as it has so far, it'll go the way of the Tony Hawk series which ... well, yeah.
All in all though, looks fantastic. Can't wait! Comes out the day before my birthday!

SKATE made it to a part 3. Nice! A pretty good sign it's selling well. Not sure what the deal is with all the THPS silliness.. maybe they are trying to expand their market to younger kids? Who knows.. It doesn't seem like a step forward in the genre though. Quite the opposite.Hopefully hardcore mode will eliminate all the nonsense.
SKATE 1 > SKATE 2 and you gotta have gold to get the demo on live? FU!

I really enjoyed Skate 1. Simply felt that if the series continued it could improve graphical polish and features (most specifically, split-screen free skate play).
Bought Skate2 on the cheap, slightly disappointed with all the security all over the place, but liked the idea of moving environments. Still, required the desired polish to make what was said to be most realistic skating game look a little more realistic. If you're going to have cars driving all over the place, I'd rather them not look like boxes on wheels.
Now this? This is completely off the basis of what the original game was about, no? Just seems too far off the mark, and is probably a dead series at this point. Very disappointed.

Sure there are some crazy things you can do, but the core of the gameplay is still tight skating. It feels as tight as the first Skate on the hardest difficulty, and lets you choose to keep the camera low just like the first game.
Like you, i LOVED the first Skate, (still play it a lot) but felt the second game was a mess.
After playing the demo, I'm really liking what they did with Skate 3. Enough crazy things to do, but still basically tight skating mechanics, which sold me
