Iron Man 2 'Prologue' trailer eases us into the plot

Thank goodness for the latest trailer for Sega's Iron Man 2 -- we're not sure we'd be able to wrap our minds around the game's complex plot without the helpful backstory in the video, which we've posted after the jump.

Stick with us, here: Iron Man and his best friend War Machine have to fight robots belonging to another mega-corporation, which was commissioned by a Russian general for undoubtedly nefarious purposes. Also, a very convincing Samuel L. Jackson impersonator is there, and he's on a flying boat.

Do you understand, now? What? You do? Great. Could you explain it to us?

Can't view the video at work, but if that pic is gameplay, they have some nice graphics. WAR MACHINE!!!

Unfortunately there is no gameplay in this video, just a cut-scene.

Thanks for informing me. I could care less for cut-scene trailers. Not enough about the game inside that. Besides those cut-scenes are going to mostly be scenes from or adapted from the movie itself. So blah!

I just pictured Samual L. Jackson doing those old Spice commercials:

"Ladies do you wish your man smelled like me? Look down, look up, I'm on a boat. Now get these Mother F.... snakes off my Mother F... boat....."

Once I saw Samuel L. Jackson star as a BLONDE haired Viking in the clevarly titled movie Vikings.... I can't take him at all seriously ever again.

If only you could move that freely in the real game...

Looks way better than the first one & worth playing,.

old Atari games are worth playing in comparison to the first iron man...

Am I the only one that thought that video (and the trailers for the movie itself) was cheesy as hell?

Everyone knows adding a metal guitar riff in the background makes everything badical.

Try it with some childbirth footage.

The video was horrible. I hope the dialog is at a minimum. The Iron Man voice sounded like Jack Black trying to be comically quippy as Robert Downey Jr.... and it didn't work.

Which is weird as it's actually Robert Downey Jr. And I wouldn't have thought that was Samual L Jackson either, but there you go.

I read on IGN that it isn't actually Robert Downey, Jr. but the guy that does the voice in the animated series (Eric Loomis). So it may explain why he's "reaching," but Jackson and Cheadle are supposed to be good and not phoning it in.

I swear, if they're going to show us this trailer the game better look like this too. Also, S. Jackson makes a good Nick Fury. I never thought I'd say that.

I want to play it.

the villain wants the iron man tech, and stark built shield a giant flying aircraft carrier.
the meaning, shield is going to be part of the games story line.

it's called the Helicarrier. it's the capital ship and headquarters of SHIELD.

Man those graphics are way better than the first 1, i mean look at Samuel L. Jackson's video game self. Total step up.

i agree about war machine. but iron man is the icon and you wouldn't have a war machine if it wasn't for iron man. i would have preferred a war machine movie but it wouldn't have worked as well. the rhodes character isn't as entertaining as stark. if they had done the movie they'd have to explain the origin of the suit and then people would bitch about it not being an iron man movie since that's the origin. if they changed the origin you'd have all the fans boys rioting about canon. it's a no win situation.

i can tell you the graphics are defo not like that in game, the graphcs are pretty crap, very blocky in places . so disapointing iron man 1 graphics are far superior to what we get in this game.

so much for segas inprovments they where spouting about when this game was in production.

dont give up on it just yet, ive been surprised before when it comes to visuals on a game and youtube videos :P

is it me or is tony stark the same voice as ray stantz from the ghostbusters cartoon?
