Of course, because these titles were released in arcades during the 90s, they lack something we find essential in Sega light gun games now: profuse swearing. For that, we recommend the underappreciated House of the Dead: Overkill, available for $20. Yeah, a light gun game just isn't the same anymore without copious f-bombs.

Hopefully this does well I think I remember it from the arcade
Hopefully this also translates into Namco resurrecting the Time Crisis series on the Wii, as that would be shamelessly sweet.

Is Overkill 2 player?

Man, I remember watching Putt-Putt employees playing LA Guns with one player dual wielding those giant machine guns. Looked fun as hell, though I wasn't willing to pony up the $2 it would have cost to do the same. Ultimately, I don't see a Wiimote inspiring remotely (ba-dum-shee) the same feeling of decimation that those giant vibrating machine guns did.

The Lost World Arcade next please! I would buy any system that that game was released on. It is seriously my favorite arcade game ever.

That makes two of us.
Favorite on rails shooter. Over the years I've tried finding a rom or anything for it (more than a few times) w/o luck.

I remember beating these games at the arcade back in the day. To say those graphics have not aged well might be the understatement of the year. Hell, your average iPhone game blows this away nowadays...

Hmmm I could have sworn the game looked alot better.

Oh, man... I'm on this like white on rice.

Welllllll... if you wanna poop in my sandbox and ruin my happy outburst, I'll have to correct you: All rice is "brown". White rice is merely rice that has had the bran removed through the process of milling. All "colored" rices (red, purple, black, brown) will be white once they're milled, but will still exhibit various flavor characteristics.

I LOVE my Saturn.
But holy hell, these look like Saturn games.

Alternately, you can turn on (insert fanbrat podcast opposing your console preference here) and supply your own gratuitous profanity while you play these games.
Kidding aside, this is good news, but without the huge vibrating platform it's just not gonna be the same, even if they manage to get MadCatz or someone to make a huge freaking wiimote shell for it.

I also used to love duel wielding both guns. Had so much fun with that in the arcade. If they release a machine gun peripheral with kickback action I am there.

Repeating myself here. It's NOT a light-gun game. It was all joystick based, like Star Wars Arcade Trilogy.

Those shooting games work really well on the wii.
I really like House of the Dead 2&3 on the Wii. Also, I dare say that the best part on the wiimote is not the motion control, but the pointer function.
