Gray Matter, Jane Jensen's long overdue adventure game, is also making its way to the Xbox 360 when the game finally launches later this year (... allegedly). Originally announced for PC years ago, there had been talk of a console version -- but for the Wii. Publisher dtp entertainment states the controls have been adjusted for Microsoft's console, but "other than that, Gray Matter's PC and Xbox 360 versions are absolutely identical."
Jensen was the mind behind the acclaimed Gabriel Knight adventure series during the 90s. Hopefully, this'll be the year we finally get to wrap our brains around Gray Matter.

Yes, Yes that's nice. But when will Jane be making Gabriel Knight 4?

Bah, I wanted it on the Wii. I guess there's always PC, whenever I get around to upgrading my computer. Maybe it'll come out on PS3 by then.

Ditto. Maybe if it does well on 360, they'll consider a Wii port.
(As for the reason why, note the comment about the PC and 360 versions being identical? I imagine Microsoft's tools and whatever middleware they're using makes it very easy to do a 360 port, and of course they don't need to spend time figuring out how to tone down the graphics. So this is probably a good move from a cost perspective. It's not like they didn't have a PC version and could save money by making lower-quality art for a Wii-only game.)

Oh, snap! That makes me very excited. I've been following the scant details of this game since it was announced, and it looks neat. All the fiction she wrote on her blog is good, and makes me want more. And if I can get 'chievos for playing it? Sweeeet.

Awesome. I had forgotten about this game because of the huge time lapse and now it's going to be on the 360 as well? Bonus!

As long as the game is released, I'm very happy.
Gabriel Knight was not only an amazing adventure game, it was one the first ones to have a good run at the 3D era (along with titles such as Grim Fandango). Hopefully it will also make a comeback in this age of adventure revival.

Nice. And for my 360? wasn't expecting that, but I'll certainly take it.

For a minute I thought Jane Jetson had a game. But she wasn't in her iconic purple dress. Then I remembered I quite often have a reading problem and realized that doesn't say Jane Jetson. Then I got distracted by the word "realized" because that doesn't look like it's spelt right. Now I forgot where I was headed with this rant.
