I am really curious to see what Bungie can do with the PS3. They have been talking with Sony SM studios for a while now. Fascinating indeed.

Will they shoot for console parity or will they push the PS3 like Sony 1st party studios do.

E3 is getting more and more interesting every day.

From reading the interview, it sounds like Bungie's ready to spread its wings. I'm interested to see their ideas, as well.

Gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling.

I still can't believe Bungie would sign an agreement with Activision. Don't they know who Bobby Kotick is? He's SATAN!

You're right Brian, when a company goes out of their way to run an entire industry to the ground by, 'milking' IPs to death, disenfranchising talented developers, and openly taunt their customers with price hikes; we shouldn't let that get in the way with anyone self respect, respect for other, or just plain common ethics.

And even though I agree with you, I am going to downvote you anyway.

I'm pretty sure any CEO would tell you that if they could get away with selling something at a higher price, they would.

Stopping support of them because they signed up with Activision? Did you read the article? The terms of the contract are in Bungie's favor unlike IW the fiasco.

They keep the intellectual properties created and apparently already have a new franchise in mind that would span 10 or so years regardless of who published it.....Activision is just a means to an end for them.

I think this is my favorite quote from the interview:

"They certainly could have brought [Infinity Ward] up, they could have talked about it, and I think they showed a lot of class and integrity never making it part of our discussion."

It's special to me, because it reminds me of when my wife and I dated, and eventually I proposed, and of course we got married.

Maybe it would have given her pause if she knew I stabbed my previous three girlfriends to death. I certainly could have brought it up, we could have talked about it, and I think I showed a lot of class and integrity never making it part of our discussion.

You certainly could have talked about it, but maybe she already has a plan to ride out the relationship while emptying out your bank account.

I'm sure Bungie is watching their back. They just wanted the money and the independence.

lol. Yeah I know. How is it honest to not talk about firing the heads of a developer and not paying royalties? Only an idiot would bring that up when they are trying to negotiate that partnering up with them would be a good idea.

No kidding. "Class and integrity" would have been being up front about the situation and discussing it with Bungie. Hiding it and pretending it never happened is the total opposite of that.

It makes more sense now that Bungie reps have said the contract was signed THIS WEEK.

They certainly had to use the Infinity Ward situation to get a better deal.

I appreciate Bungie keeping it politically correct - but let's be honest - one of two things happened in their most recent talks with Activision, in regards to the Infinity Ward Public Relations Disaster:

1) They talked to Activision about the Infinity Ward mess and it helped out in Bungie's bid to get a some fairly uncommonly favorable provisions in the publishing deals. In return, Bungie claims it didn't have anything to do with the discussions.

2) Bungie honestly didn't speak to Activision about Inifinity Ward - officially marking Bungie as the most successful organization of idiots on Earth.

Oh, and BTW - I love Halo (as indicated by my avatar) - but I'm officially ready for someone else to take over the series. I love Bungie and love what they've done with Halo. I certainly can't wait to play their next 'universe'. But:

Halo 3 > Halo ODST > Halo 2 > Halo: CE

I'm ready for a series reboot. Given the unlimited resources Microsoft must throw at the Halo series to survive in the industry, I'm more excited than ever to see what 'Halo 5' can be.

i think you meant to use less than symbols rather than greater than symbols. If not, your whole argument doesn't make sense. Why would they need a reboot if all of their games get incrementally better as they keep making sequels?

I haven't read all the comments about this but I hope to god no idiots think that Halo is coming in any way, shape or form to Sony's machines nor Nintendos. MS owns all Halo properties, not just publishing rights, but the whole universe and Bungie signed it all away to them way back after Apple dropped the ball on making it for the Macs. As far as Bungie making a game for the PS3 don't expect the PS3 version to be better in any way to the 360's version. With Bungie, my guess on this, is the 360 will be the lead platform and even if both are developed at the same time the PS3 doesn't hold any advantages to the 360 but disadvantages with Sonly online.

@Wardo: If you've read any of the comments posted on pretty much ANY web site reporting the Bungie/Activision news (Including Joystiq and even Bungie.net), you'd know darn well that not everybody knows Microsoft has all the rights to Halo.

Like bigd7387, I too am tired of people asking the same questions about 'Halo coming to the PS3.'

It doesn't really matter though, people can claim Halo is coming to the PS3 but in the end they will get absolutely nothing. So there really is no point in commenting on it.

how about this for you, you can keep your over rated game on your console .. i just wanna see what Bungie can do for the PS3 and see if they can make something better then Halo ( as i didn't care much for Halo ) and for the whole * As far as Bungie making a game for the PS3 don't expect the PS3 version to be better in any way to the 360's version * comment .. get your fanboy ass outta here, i know your Butt hurt about Bungie actually making a game for PS3 so, you have to come out and try to make yourself look good ( which you failed too do so by the way ... you made yourself into a whiny fanboy bitch ) by telling everyone the PS3 will be shit and no good and 360 will always be top notch.

take that fanboy shit outta here and go to some other gaming news website with your butt hurt whining
