Yes, decent.
Though I must say, you're taking this a little personal, Fernando. It's just a machine, remember?

used to be pro-PSP. Have owned several of both systems. DSi undoubtedly has way more gameplay. PSP gets something good about 3 times a year. DS gets great games about once a month. Usually they have a longer play value as well. Infinite Space, FFTA 2, etc.

You have "Zero Desire"? Maybe you should play these after all...

Hm. Looks like fun. How good are these games? I could use a Metroidvania fix on my DS.

Yeah def not metroidvania.
Excellent games though. I'm def picking this up so i dont have to switch the megaman zeros in my GBA slot. Now if only they could do the same thing for the GBA metroids

They're mission-based, like the classic and X series, but the map IS one large, interconnected map. Just sections will be blocked off until you accept each mission. But afterwards, you can dash and teleport all around to previously visited locations (to grab missed powerups and such).

I'm not actually all that familiar with the Mega Man series in any of its forms, I'd just heard somewhere that one of these handheld spinoff series was a Metroidvania. So, maybe it was this, or not. I dunno.

The megaman "metroidvanias" that you have heard about are the MegaMan ZX games for DS. Personally I really likes these games from the GBA, Megaman Zero, a lot more because they are not attempting to be metroid style, but still give you the option the explore like BPMOmega said. MMZ 2 and 3 were great, never played 4 though.

Easy mode? Sign me the Hell up! That's the best thing about Mega Man 10 - I can actually enjoy my play time, instead of being tempted to throw my friggin' controller. And I heard that these are really solid titles. Stoked to get my hands on them.

I really don't wat to say I'm the expert gamer or anything, but...
What's the deal with people complaining about Mega Man being too hard? I literally beat Mega Man 9 without dying a single time (I got the "achievement"... WiiWare version).
Even the NES Mega Man aren't that hard... it just seems that gamers these days are so used to checkpoints every minutes, specially in FPS games.
Mega Man games aren't that hard or frustating... maybe you are playing it wrong, trying to rush (no pun intended) thru the game.

That could be. To be honest, I've been playing Mega Man 10 on Easy mode and I have only died once or twice. I'm going to play through it again to get more achievements, and do it on Normal for sure. When I was a kid I never had problem with the NES or the early X series games, but they got ball-breakingly hard in the later PS1 games. At least I thought so! I don't have a problem with challenge, per se, but I do like the option of putting it on an easier difficulty so it takes me less time to get through it and keeps me from getting bored with it. There's a lot of games out there, and if I'm finding myself getting frustrated I move on too easily at this stage in my life.

I can only speak for the first two, but you're in for a treat Jerk Face- they're quite good. Especially if you liked the SNES era Mega Man X games.

I think my patience peaked for Mega Man games in high school and stopped in college. Hence the reason I could only finish MM7 and MMX-X5 whereas all other ones seem 'difficult'.

You're kidding, right? Going from GBA to DS? Not so hard, really, there's already a degree of hardware similarity. GBA/DS to entirely different platforms? That's gonna take a lot more work.

While it may be a bit unrealistic to hope for such a thing, I sure wouldn't mind playing it on a TV...

Aaaaaah, I love cartridges. Obviously, I understand the reason and need to move to discs, but... cartridges are just awesome. Good times.

I love Megaman, the characters and story but am horrible at the actual games(Though I love the gameplay too). I really like Capcom including easy modes now, first with MM10 and now this.
