Trials HD on sale for $10 today on XBLM

So you've managed to block out the siren song of Trials HD this long, have you? You're stronger than us -- but it might be time to give in. The game has been discounted today by 33 percent to 800

($10) for a one-day sale. Can you really say "no, thank you" to that? It was voted 2009's best XBLA game, after all (and won the Best Nordic Game award at the 2010 conference just last night).

Look at it this way: Your Microsoft Points could very well go to helping out the workers behind the scenes. That's right -- we're talking about the guys who sneak into the factory at night and set up these wicked elaborate stunt tracks. They have an extremely dangerous job, you know.

I wish the DLC were discounted. I'm still putting off buying it, but I don't really know why.

It's a pretty good deal too. Lots of new levels and its only $5.

If you do not own this, and do not buy it, you are crazy. Well within the Top 3 best XBLA games.

If you do purchase it you will be addicted. I spent weeks straight playing that game. All I need is the marathon achievement which very few people have gotten. To elaborate, you go through 24 tracks without faulting. I have made it through with 3 =\

Agree. The game is phenomenal, and the expansion pack is well worth it.

I'm actually waiting for another expansion pack as I'm REALLY jonesing for some more levels. I've torn through the ones in the Big Pack and loved every bit of them. I've tried developing my own levels, but it's rather hard to create a level which challenges yourself since you already know how to get over the obstacles that you create.

I pulled the trigger the second this article popped up in my RSS feed reader. I get to run home, watch the Red Wings (hopefully) beat San Jose, then it's time for TrialsHD.

Enjoy it man, you'll have a blast! Not a Wings fan myself, but I'd prefer them to win over Jose. I'm a Stars guy. Have to say though my favorite match up is Wings vs Stars, even though the Wings eat them alive.

I had a dream about this game last night.. yet I'm still not compelled to drop more than $5 on it.

I agree about waiting for sales... Thats why I got The Dishwasher this week... but Trails is really worth even the $15 price tag.

Always always wait for the sales on XBLA games. But this is a great game. And brutal.

More often than not, I wait for DLC and XBLA games to go on sale before buying since I usually have a game backlog to work through at most times.

I'm sure strong sales on a discounted item only help motivate discounting other future items when sales have leveled off/declined.

I only just managed to beat the extreme levels, but on some I used up almost all the allowed time/resets. Very hard game.

Hmm. Ive got trials 2 for pc and played that to death. Anyone have both and would recommend a second purchase?

Trials 2 and HD are worlds apart imo, mainly in handling, but yes, it's worth the repurchase. I personally enjoy HD a hell of a lot more than I do 2.

I was sorely disappointed when I tried Trials 2 SE for the PC a few days ago... the x360 version is WAY different (far better). Handling is improved massively, the graphics are much nicer, and it just feels more like a finished, polished game.

I bought this last week for full price. Next time I download a game I'm going to do it though Best Buy where there are price guarantees... you can do that, right?

I knew this game would be discounted some day! I just can't pay $15 for XBLA games. Picking this up right away.

I wish i could even buy anything with my live account. my damn accounts been broken for 2+ months. ms hasnt fixed it so no games for me it seems and arent willing to work with me :(

Downloaded the demo a few days ago and decided to hold out for a sale. I'm glad I didn't have to wait long!

Definitely worth picking up. Was right up there with Battlefield 1943 & 'Splosion Man at the top of my XBLA list for 2010. Very addictive.

o rats! I missed the first sale, and then I caved in, last week! And so I missed the discounted sale a second and last time. yes it is fun and worth it, but I could really haved used those extra 400 ms points on something else.

when was there a "first sale" on this game? if i recall correctly, this is the first time this game has ever gone on sale. regardless, it is worth either price.

XBLM is a typo right?

XBLM = Xbox Live Marketplace, which includes the XBLA as a part. Pretty arbitrary usage IMO.

Still not sure about this game... didn't even bother trying the demo because it was at the nasty 1200 price point, but now that it's 800 points, maybe I'll give it a go.
