Austin's beautiful this time of year, so if you want the job, don't be afraid of the relocation!

I second that. I'm not a resident but I have to fly out there often. Beautiful city, especially now. Great state as well for that matter.

You know most people I know hate Austin. Everyone I know says it's the worst part about driving to San Antonio. (I'm from Tx aswell) I'm indifferent about the town as I've never really stopped there other then onf amily road trips.

Yeah, I have some members of my family that hate it because they say it's too crowded now. However, now that I live in NYC I can tell you that this is not the case.

Also, Austin's infrastructure is in good shape for such a big city. And a lot of new franchises are starting to move their offices there. To me, Austin's fast becoming a technological capital in Texas.

Well I'm from the DFW area where companies spring up and die often, so it leaves a lot of empty buildings here. It's getting to be a bit crowded here.

I'm in Dallas, and I do admit it's sometimes a pain when you drive to San Antonio, it's just a busy place. But that's the traffic part of it. Austin is fun if you're a bit younger, since it's a student city really. Lots of parties, great music scene.

The only bad thing I've ever heard about Austin, was that it's surrounded by Texas. ;p

Texas is a very polite state, to be honest. In New Jersey, I've met some of the rudest people in my life there.

At least Texans are polite to your face. :p

I'm polite, enough. I'm a d*ck to my friends but starting out I'm just mostly crude in real life. Though if I make fun of someone and it hitsthem personally I tell them to tell me so I don't do it again.

This is a few of the guys that worked on Prime 1, yeah? Be interesting to see what they bring to the table.

This sounds equivalent to a craigslist ad for a supermodel without a picture.

We'll definitely see where the visionary elements of Metroid Prime came from. I'm interested in what they'll unveil, certainly, but without Nintendo's guidance and with the bulk of Retro Studios left behind, i would wonder if it's going to be at all similar.

They could pull a Yuji Naka on us and make something utterly unrelated to what they were previously made to work on.

I don't know the whole story of Armature, but I do know that the most 'prestigious' talent Retro had left after and during development of the first game. If some of that group is behind Armature, then I expect nothing but the best . . . The Metroid Prime series, though all great, still went noticeably downhill with its design after the first nearly perfect game. And IMO, art design wise, they fell flat.

Have you tried asking either EA or Armature?

I'm sure one of the two would probably tell you.

That's cool, I've been wondering what these guys have been up to since leaving Retro. (Which is to say nothing of what Retro have been up to themselves.) Metroid Prime is one of my favorite games of all time, so I'll be curious to see what kind of game Mark Pacini and co. will make next.
