Aisha Tyler provided us with countless chuckles and guffaws during her stint as the host of Talk Soup -- now she's providing us with sage-like advice on how to succeed in the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, which Bungie says will drop "late morning PDT." Check out the video above to watch Tyler give a rundown of the series' new maps, game types and weapons. She'll even demonstrate the proper way to handle said weapons using comically oversized props.
Heads up: Throughout the course of the video, Tyler uses about 22 variations of the phrase "kick your ass," so you should file this one under "NSFW."

They hired her because she is actaully a gamer. Apparently she has friends over and her and her husband try to get them to play Halo and other games, but all the girls suck and she kicks the guys' asses so no one wants to play.

I wish they could let her do this without all the contrived trash talk and silly prop weapons. She's plenty bright and pretty enough to be engaging without the 'gamer" pandering. Since the word is that she plays for real, just let her talk about the game and give with the pointers.

It's a silly idea no matter where it comes from, IMHO. It feels too much like the Marketing doofuses have their fingers in the pie, muttering "geeks like girls with guns, check! geeks like trash talk, check!" etc. It reminds me of the same lame, staged-for-the-demographic nonsense that is the Spike game awards show. But that's just me.

Yeah, I heard her on a talk show around the DC area (Elliot in the Morning) and she was going off about dinner parties her and her husband have and they try and get everyone to game with them but no one wants to.

I'm sorry but I watched this video and was reminded of the FFXIII video montage. She just comes off as a total D-Bag. The kind of X-TREEEEM player who DOES THA DEW! And then tea bags you when you get shot. This is the kind of obnoxious bravado that kills the fun in gaming. I don't care if she's a woman or not, if she's hot or not, a d-bag is a d-bag regardless of hotness or gender and d-bags should be first against the wall when the revolution comes.
