What crap. Im sorry, I think digital distribution is great. But over charging consumers on games is a Game Stop gimmick, how wrong of xbox live to charge 30 dollars for games that go for 15 or lower. For shame.

I dont get it, used game sales hurt publishers, and yet they have a perfect method to cut into used game sales with digital distribution of classic titles at reasonable prices. Instead digital distribution is charging a premium, so people are less inclined to make a purchase. If someone does have enough initiative to make the purchase, they will be much more likely to go the used game route to save money...completely cutting out the publishers.

I understand they are trying to keep a relative value to their commodity, IE why purchase DLC if you can get a whole other game for less money, but when the used game value is less than half what your charging for a download, the relative value is already not there.

It seems like they are trying to induce a rigid price structure ignoring demand, which could possibly work if they were the only source of content, but thats not the case. As long as used media is abundant, this price structure is full of fail for cost-conscious gamers.
