See Snake sneak, fight dragons in these MGS: Peace Walker screens

You know that crazy story you read about Snake fighting monsters from the Monster Hunter series in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker? Well, today we've got actual images of Snake in the act -- can't have a PSP game without monster hunting in it, amirite? Jokes aside, Snake seriously fights some dragons and it's pretty crazy.

Our second featured gallery (which, if you're going on The Price is Right rules, makes it better than the first) takes us through virtual boot camp. This is akin to the MGS we're used to seeing: sneaking around industrial facilities and stealthily taking out inept guards. Pick your poison below.

i'm beginning to think that this game is less for MGS fans and more for Kojima.

That's a Rathalos, and I think I've seen that charge about 100 times slaying him in MHF2.

Coincidentally, the MH armor for Lost Planet 2 is also made from Rathalos material. You can see the likeness.

Damn, where's the stealth elements! This is full out war.

I dunno, the other screens I have seen makes it look like stealth is the main focus like in MGS1-3

This game is making me really want a psp go right now. I really hope they rerelease this as a PSN game on the PS3.

This game just keeps getting weirder and weirder all the time... I think I'm starting to see why it wasn't the PS3 title.

Katamari is on the ps3, and mgs4 is pretty weird.

Not sure what Katamari has to do with the discussion, but yeah every MGS has been a little odd... it's just that this one already seems to be taking the cake.

Please tell me that at some point you can unlock this weird talking cat in the game. At this point I would be extremely surprised if they didn't.

Kojima must has some killer tenure if he can just go "Now I want Snake to fight dragons! And I want Doritos products as powerups, and a talking cat!" *cracks the whip*

This makes less sense than usual MGS games.

As a big MGS fan I've been really disappointed in what I've been hearing. The Mountain Dew tie ins were bad enough, but dragons? Even if it is MGS there's only a certain amount of crazy that Kojima can pull, and dragons cross that line.

First of all, its hardly likely to feature in the actual game, its probably just a parody mash up to promote Monster Hunter, 2nd of all, Monster Hunter is a Capcom game, the feature of Rathalos is just proof that Kojima and Capcom are communicating, which indicates a possibility of better tie ins and more interesting game combinations between the 2 in future. And 3rd, don't take it so seriously, its meant to be humourous, its not as if he is ruining the series.

No, all the MH stuff is in the game. MH is HUGE in Japan and Kojima knows this will move units. Don't you remember the Ape Escape tie-in from Subsistence? Or the Assassin's Creed outfit in MGS4? Kojima isn't afraid to reach across the industry and tap things he likes. I'm betting that 90% of the industry looks at Kojima like a god and would do a cross-promo thing whenever he asked.

There is literally nothing wrong in the above picture. In fact, my day just got better after seeing that. I don't think I'll stop smiling for a while.

I hope for the life of me there is a Naked Snake skin in Monster Hunter 3 :D

Lolwut? I thought the Monster Hunter/MGS videos were April Fools gags (since Gametrailers first posted videos of them on April 1st, IIRC). So this is actually part of the game? That's...... both kinda cool and too weird at the same time.

uh those are WYVERNS, not dragons. it's just as easy to get this stuff right as it is to get it wrong

Waiting for the PS3 port.

So Im guessing I use stealth in this game to hide from the dragon.....Dissapointing
