This Wednesday: Zeno Clash, Raystorm HD fly into XBLA

The Xbox Live Arcade offerings this week run the gamut, whether you're in the mood to plumb the depths of the unknown or snuggle up with a known quantity.

If you're in the mood to relax with something a little more familiar, check out Raystorm HD, a remake of the classic PlayStation/Saturn shmup from Taito. But if you're ready for something a little ... different, you owe it to yourself to play Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition, which, no exaggeration, gives us the creeps just typing it. It's a first-person brawling semi-shooter -- like Chronicles of Riddick, if its main character had just dropped all the acid.

You'll be able to pick up both Wednesday for 1200

($15) each.

This game looks really weird.

That's why it looks so fun!

It is VERY weird, and is excellent. Really impressive coming from a team of 9 at Ace Team. Can't wait to see what's next from those crazy Chilenos.

I really do believe it's due to the fall in XBLA sales. Not a ton good has come out lately. I imagine they want to make up for their losses. Either that, or they are just getting greedy.

It's still $14.99 on Steam for the Non-Ultimate Edition, so... um... deal with it?

Actually, it's not a mask. That's just how wacked out some of the characters look.

$15 is a steal for Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition.

It uses the same engine as L4D/L4D2 (Source), among other titles, and it offer more content, too.

Kinda makes me go :\ at all the people who've never seen seen Zeno Clash before.

Especially at the editorial staff.

I had never heard of it so I assume it's a relatively new indie game? I'm not a big PC gamer, I pick up a few little games here and there because I don't really have a PC capable of running the bigger games, so I mostly just stick to titles like Machinarium, Torchlight, and others. Zeno Clash does look pretty bizarre though. Going to have to check it out.

Shit, its that creepy game again.

Hope the Ultimate Edition will make its way to Steam.

The new content will arrive in the PC version through a patch.
