lol that was good. I tried playing the demo for RF:G, but I never really liked it, as much as I wanted to. The sledgehammer was insane though...

No one cares. Seriously, after nearly 5 years of endless comments on YouTube saying "First" everyone stop caring. Choke on a railroad spike and die. Assbitch.

Awesome news, really looking forward to it. RF:G was good and all, but it had some downs.

+Awesome destruction, can entertain for a very long time!
+Solid multiplayer. Could be better, but awesome nonetheless.

- Lame Story
- Insanely large areas to explore, with too much emptiness between
- Lame side missions. There was truly only about 3 or 4, and they were recycled to much throughout the game.

If Volition can fix the minuses, then it will be tough to beat this game when it comes to GOTY (whenever it is released, that is).

The reason that RF:G didn't have much story development is because it's an open world game. Those don't lend themselves to a strong, directed narrative as other game types do.

I thought that RF:G worked really well as an open-world game. If they change too much around, the new game might not have much in common with the first - not sure if that is a good thing or not.

loved my free copy, and eagerly awaiting the next game. If they fix some of the issues w/ RF:G, then this should easily turn into quite the little franchise.

Guerrilla was either the 3rd or 4th in the series. I believe you can already consider it a franchise by this point, except that Guerrilla has more of a re-imagining.

Looking forward! I didn't mind RF:G's story---for an open-worlder, too much detail just gets in the way, and I thought they did a pretty good job of building the narrative without it. But it'll be fun to see them try.

And while we're praising everything else RF:G got right, let's take a moment to heap laurels on the head of whoever had the bright idea of putting direction markers DIRECTLY ON THE WORLD! After playing RF:G, I just can't put up with Grand Theft Auto's stare-at-the-minimap driving.

He'll say they're going to do 'demand creation' and then they'll flail around a bit, and then the next game will sell like hotcakes because Guerrilla was awesome, and the marketers and usurers and managers will get bonuses for fapping nonsense buzzword viral rickroleplaying what have you, and then other companies will take notice and start releasing shovel ware and performing the same nonsensical tribal rituals and wonder why their games aren't selling... and they'll blame piracy and institute draconian DRM and punish the consumer which will reduce sales, so they'll start firing and consolidating and off shoring and dev blogging and and and twirling, twirling, twirling toward freedom.
