Rather than blast our senses with copious amounts of explosions and military bravado, this new Medal of Honor trailer opts for a more muted approach: a soldier calling home to convince his wife and daughter that everything is going to be okay.
Medal of Honor will be released this October.

This is why I am glad Anna isn't huge on chick flicks and is on anime.

I hope they market this well, too. A really epic, mind-blowing MoH game with huge success has been few and far in between (most of the time it's only one or the other). I really like the approach that EA going for. Respectful to soldiers, showing the harsher, yet almost ironically softer, side of war that's rarely ever experienced or displayed by any medium... all the while, still keeping the action in it.

beautiful, absolutly beautiful. Its funny that Ant farm, the ad agency for MW2, was patting themselves on the back when amazing ads like this and the"Believe" ad campaign for halo 3 are out there.
Simply amazing. Totally different approach from the COD games and BF games(yes i know EA), here's hoping that the game is actually more human than simply just being about action like MW has become.

touching trailer but I want a demo to test for myself to give proper judgment.
many movies and games I've seen recently have awesome/intense/touching trailers but when you go see/play them they are NOT what was advertised.
OVER-HYPED and OVERSOLD The trailer looks intense but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Shouldn't you be saying how much this game will fail and that COD: Black ops will destroy it?

First off this trailer gave me goosebumps...I will buy this day one.
Secondly I think it's hilarious how many people have to use this as an opportunity to knock COD. You know...the game series that you'll still buy day one no matter how "cool" it is to knock.
MW2 was a sweet game...get over it.

Am i allowed to knock it as much as I want?

@PurpleFries No, because you have not played it a good amount of time to give an objective point of view of the game.

Incredible trailer, I want the game to be just like it. I want a long, emotionally charged story that can stand up next to the best war films or books. I want it to be intense, but without glorification.
It's probably a lot to ask for, but I can always hope.

If this focus on character and emotion comes across in the actual game, I think we're in for a pretty ground-breaking experience. I've always found the Call of Duty approach to war very tasteless and disrespectful to those who have fought in such conflicts.
The best war films have been the ones that concentrate on the personal experiences and emotions of the soldier, rather than just the combat itself. Surely games are even better suited to do this?

That was a very powerful advertisement. It really made me feel like I got a glimpse into the life of a soldier. If they treat this game with that type of maturity and commentary it might win goty. I'll take that over a bunch of neat heads yelling Oscar mike for 6 hours straight.
