I love monopoly. We need more board games for download. Wonder what the price tag will be on this.

Monopoly is cool. Problem is we will be stuck one night playing this for 6 mindless hours.

I'm right there with you! My only problem was that I could never find anyone to play with, and play old PC versions of the game against AI just isn't fun.

Online play, neat, or rather, finally! But why this can't be a $10 or $15 XBLA/PSN game is beyond me.

I look forward to yet another $30 or $40 retail copy of monopoly that has way too many features to detract from the core game, and likes to draw out the play with completely unnecessary and annoying animations.

Word of advice:

Unless it sends you to the "thank you!" message page, or your net drops out, or some other such thing happens, just assume it took the message.

I've had messages appear immediately, but then disappear on reload, only to finally show up for good like 5 minutes later.

I wish Activision was publishing. Then there would be as many digital versions as there is physical versions of Monopoly.

But I wonder if this is what the DLC is

I could see them making a good Battlefield variant of the Streets mode. Hell, they could probably even pull off a decent Dead Space variant as well. I'd also love to be able to play as GDI/NOD units.

*echo* By your side commander.

What is it? Haha! I'm movin' in!

"When you're locked in one of those days-long Monopoly games that just won't end (in other words, pretty much every Monopoly game ever), wouldn't it be more thrilling to spend that time in a 3D Monopoly board-world?"

Man, my family started a game back around Christmas that we still haven't finished yet! It just keeps going! That's how they really got through the Great Depression!

Hopefully they allow for a bit better ruleset this time around (last version you couldn't change any of the rule options) and they get rid of the little Uncle Moneybags Guy who won't shut up.

We already have a reimagination of Monopoly as a dynamic gameworld encountered from street level. It's called Atlantic City. Some people play it as an RPG, others as an FPS.

An ONLINE EA MONOPOLY GAME??
I'll believe it when I see it. When EA announced the last Monopoly game, they said it would be online, but it never came to be. That's the reason I never bothered buying the last Monopoly game on the XBOX.
If they do actually offer online gameplay with this new Monopoly, I'm in.

EA loves that Street(s) moniker, eh? At any rate, this sounds cool. I already have Monopoly for my PS3 and even bought it for my nephew's Wii for family game nights. I just hope that the AI is switched up. Too much bamboozling going on in the current version of Monopoly when playing against the CPU.

Anybody know if Monopoly is coming to the Hasbro Family Game section of XBLA? EA made that utterly shitty disc version, overpriced with no online (even though it says LIVE all over the box)...I'd pay for a digital version for 400pts on sale...

It is, if I remember it right. I'm guessing this may be little more than a port of that.
