We want everyone to be in the right frame of mind when watching this new Red Dead Redemption trailer, so first we'd ask that you to watch this gameplay clip from Mad Dog McCree. Now, had you told us back in 1990 that this is where we'd be in 20 years, we're not sure we could have handled it. A Western-themed game with digital characters, and not real FMV actors? Are you insane, sir?
Alas, here we are, as the digital John Marston somehow finds himself embroiled in revolution. The trailer doesn't explain exactly who is revolting from what (it sounds a bit like the Mexican Revolution, which began around the time Redemption takes place), but it does look like train heists will be involved, so we're completely down.

Dude, I've been reading Joystiq for almost 4 years now, and I rarely comment.
I sit down, scroll through the front page, and open new tabs for the stories that are interesting. But, as of late, YOU are in every tab. Most of the time you dont even further the conversation. If this was Myspace, you would probably be the slutty looking 15 year old. Now, forgive my frustration, because even though you comment EXCESSIVELY, I'm mostly upset about how the comment section USED to be used to express someones opinion, or to give us more information a a game that the story hasn't covered. But lately, Its devolved into petty high school drama with randoms, or long reply chains, with a majority being ghosted because they are arguing about inane shit.

I kinda know what he means, but this game is going to be like crack I will be trying to get my fix of it. GTAIV was a beautiful game and a deep expansive city but a lot of what made GTA series so much fun was absent from the game im not talking about the tank either.

GTA IV was console only for a bit too, wasn't it? So if you wait a couple months it may be ported to the PC. But I'm getting it for PS3, just because it looks so good I want to play it right away. (If it wasn't delayed I would be playing it RIGHT NOW)

technically its should only be at worst, as hampered as the ps3 version of gta 4. which might mean slightly choppier framerate, lower resolution and increased load times BUT perfectly playable.
Its using the same rage engine as gta4 so i can only expect that that with all the time they have had with delays and stuff, they have been working harder to optimize the ps3 version

The PS3 version wasnt hampered, it was widely regarded as being graphically superior, less pop in and better pixel shader effects where as the 360 version felt more drab and used low detail stuff more frequently (especially in a helicopter). I have GTA4 on PS3 and Episodes on 360, the PS3 version definitely looks better. It just got screwed out of DLC which I think is a bigger issue since their DLC was so good.
