I agree, this looks comical- their appearance. At first I thought it was a comic parody of sort. What the hell's with the shaved-in-the-middle-eyebrows?

The fighting is good but I have to say. Would look so much better without them brows.

"Hey, guys! Did you know that I've not only never played Street Fighter, but also like to share that information as ignorantly as possible via the internet?!"

I've been working on my impression of you. I think I'm getting pretty good.

Yeah, we all have that one Asian friend that we use for all our Asian needs. He probably couldn't find anyone that really looks like Ryu.

to be fair Ryu has had many different looks over the years. MvC, street fighter 2, and in street fighter IV the ryu's all look different. Or maybe it is just me?

If the worst thing you can say about someone is that they look like Tom Cruise, I'm sure they'll generally take that as a compliment.

I enjoyed that three minutes of fan film more than the entirety of the Legend of Chun Li. The cinematography was good, the fighting was decent, and the characters were...close enough. The need for star power is killing video game movies anyway, get a bunch of no-names that understand the source material, then maybe we might get something decent. It is the best chance at least.

I'm sure there will be a lot of haters, but that's almost scientifically as close as you can get to making an accurate live action Street Fighter look anything even within the ballpark of "cool".

Agreed. The fight sequences looked infinitely better, imho, than either Street Fighter movie.

Then again, I just re-watched "Mortal Kombat," and I still kinda like that one. :-)

Not too bad...although I still find the original Street Fighter movie amazingly awesome to watch with the right amount of friends and alcohol.

Millions of dollars and a year or so, and the movie still couldn't come a quarter of what this is. This is how you do a Street Fighter movie.

Legacy has better quality. Both need to stop using Hadouken. Unless you have a real budget, it doesnt look right. Props to Legacy for shooting on a RED.

A hybrid of Both would be cool.
The Feel and Dialogue of Legacy was great, Ken was spot on, whilst I preferred the Fighting speed of Beginnings End.

That and a few million dollars and they've really got a winner.

I actually like the fight sequence in Beginnings End. I like how they mixed in the fireballs without such a big pause and slo mo sequence...however, the dudes are not a match, look wise, for Ryu or Ken. At least Ken looks spot on in Legacy, with NATURAL hair not a wig. Lol.

Still 1000% better than "Street Fighter" and "Legend of Chun-Li". And "The Animated Movie" for that matter....

Street Fighter the animated movie is one of the main building blocks of Street Fighter today. Hell, there wouldn't be an Alpha series if that movie didn't inspire them to make it.

They just need to make a Street Fighter movie like this but with better actors and a higher budget. I mean, how hard is it? It'd just be your typical summer action flick.

As someone who gets extremely uncomfortable watching anything remotely cheesy (that doesn't have joking audio commentary), I will say that this is as far from cheesy as a live-action rendition of a video game can get.

It'd be better if Ryu didn't look like a 40 year old and they actually tried voicing the japanese instead having a really obvious dub-over.

I actually thought that the hadouken looked cool, it was the block from ryu that made me cringe. But then again it WAS pretty realistic (in game terms), so you can't have it both ways.

Other than my tiny little bitch I thought that was a fv$cking cool video, and I hope they make a few more cool match ups :)

I liked it, but they could've done without the very last part...why

Beginnings End was just as cool, abit better too, but it got me thinking.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8K-F4eCDyUU - Beginnings End : SF Alpha (Kens hair/ponytail, Ryus white head band)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2ZXSzaUIBQ&feature=player_embedded - SF Legacy: SF 2 and 4

Different actors in both parts, but by appearence gives a interesting touch that Legacy depicted them as being alittle old over the years

I wish a studio would give this guy some decent funding. We could actually have the first GOOD GOOD street fighter movie.

Not "so bad it's good" like the first one, and not "so bad you wish you were dead" like the second one.

Very well done.

The only complaint I'd have is that the Ryu actor is way too small, and that last shot could have been flimed a bit better so it looked like they were actually about to jump kick each other (instead of both just fall to the ground short of each other).

Other than that though, very cool to watch.
