It looks awfully neat, though we're not sure how many practical applications it actually has. Though it would be pretty great to hijack a movie theater, and force its patrons to witness our sick Tilt to Live skills.

I just built a similar setup using the same picoprojector both of these projects are using, for a first person shooter. Unlike these, it does full 360 degree yaw, pitch, and roll. http://eclecti.cc/videogames/projecting-virtual-reality-with-a-microvision-showwx

This laser projector is special because it doesn't need to be focused. You can move it from a surface 10" away to a surface 10' away in an instant. That's ideal for a portable projector. Pull it out of your pocket, point and project.

Brian, I don't think you are correct. I'm pretty sure that other guy is just holding the phone and pico projector next to each other. Besides, this demo shows true 360 degree movement with no lag time and shows how ANYONE can do it!
