My favorite Mothers day memory was giving my wife (mother of my child) a beer making kit. Seems like the oddest gifts give her the most delight!

Last year, I had do so much for my mom. I got her flowers, took her out to a 5-star restaurant, and got her nails done. Yet she was happy, but my wallet wasn't. But you can't put a price on your mom.

Not necessarily a "Mother's Day" memory (because, well, it didn't happen on Mom's Day...), but it pertains to my mom nonetheless. Okay, this is a bit long, but please bear with me...

This happened back when Jurassic Park had just been released on video. My mom had never seen it,so I decided it would be cool to watch it. We get to the point in the movie when the dinos get loose, and she just can't watch it any more. Well, my dad and sister and I keep watching while mom busies herself with other things (laundry, I think). Well, it's at the part where the raptors are chasing the kids through the facility and corner them in the kitchen. It's at this point that my mom comes around the corner with a basket-full of clothes; right the second that one of the raptors leaps up on the counter. My mom, seeing this, promptly drops the basket, screaming, "IT CAN JUMP!!" and runs out of the room.

I've never let her for get that, but it was soooo hilarious!
