+1 for 3DDGH!! I'm more excited for this than I was for FFXIII. Glad for the focus back to when games were about gameplay instead of the current focus on asthetics and gimmicks. If this is half as fun as Demon's Souls, it'll get many hours past the 10 for the story. Keep 'em coming From Software!

I have been dying to play Batman Arkham Asylum but when I heard there was going to be a GOTY edition I just had to wait for the extra content.

And 3DDGH looks pretty damn awesome..........

I was pretty sad to see the Joker pic instead of a 3D Dot Game Heroes pic. Hell, it had 3D in the damn title! Switch pics and the caption still works!

Finally, Dance Sensation! I've been waiting for this title with baited breath since they announced it 3 months ago in order to cash in on the enormous success of Just Dance.

I can't wait. I haven't ever been able to dance, or interract with girls until they released these fine titles. Now my life is much better! Thank you casual gamers!

3D Dot Game Heroes is on my must have list, but I'll probably get that later this year.

Can't wait to see some reviews for Red Dead Redemption next week. That game looks downright badass...I sure hope it's good.

GameInformer already gave it a 9.75. I'm not one to care that much about review scores but color me impressed.

I'm holding out from buying anything until Red Dead and Alan Wake - as long as the reviews stay strong. 3D Dot Game Heroes is intriguing though.

I started Uncharted 2 this weekend. Wow. I played it for like 3 hours straight. I'm already at the part where you meet the girl from the first game. Hope I'm not more than halfway through, because I'm loving every minute of it.

Although, playing as much as I have, I'm kinda surprised so many deliberations went into this or Batman for GOTY 09. Arkham Asylum to me, is clearly a better game. I'm not trying to flame, I love both games so far; but Batman had better pacing, new fun things to play with around every turn, and much more satisfying combat. Maybe the best is yet to come for Uncharted 2, but so far it's no contest.

I would agree Arkham is the better game overall, I definitely put more time into replaying it than I did U2. But I will say that Uncharted has the better graphics and cinematics, as well as some amazing level design.

UC2 was leaps and bounds better than Batman AA. It was a tough decision for GOTY but it was between UC2 & Assassins Creed 2.

I liked uncharted 2 better than Arkham Asylum. But man, they were both miles ahead of AC2 to me, even with everything added and all the cool stuff it felt like a step back from the original at least in terms of just fun

Ha, I'd go Batman > AC2 > U2, partly because Batman was all new and still blew me out of the water, and it had the most fun combat system since Oni (to me, at least). But I'm going to say that this + the above comments are exactly why it was a split decision.

Lost Planet 2 (360), 3D Dot Game Heroes, and maybe Skate 3 (360).

Undecided on Rocket Knight and ToW, and isn't that Zen Mini Golf game coming this week?

What was the point behind the '(360)' after mentioning them games?

Because that's the version I'm getting (or in the case of Skate 3, might be getting) for those specific multiplat titles. It would have been quite redundant to add '(PS3)' to 3D Dot Game Heroes, seeing as it's PlayStation 3 exclusive.

And on the implied subject of 'who cares?' or 'cool story broseph,' what is the point of commenting in a 'now playing' thread less you be disclosing what you might be playing (whether you pick it up this week or at a later date) or on the off chance contributing to Joystiq's list . . .

On that last note, I was mistaken with Planet Minigolf coming out this week (though, who knows?). It was on the PS Blog last week for Spring 2010, not with a specific date.

Vidi - the problem with that is that the extra costs for release date shipping actually negate any amazon savings...so its not really worth doing it.

I guess it depends on where you live, but with tax I come out roughly even at worst. In this case, Amazon is selling the game for $37 tax free. The release date shipping is $5.98 (round to $6). So the total is $43. The local stores will be selling it for $40 and with the take the total would be roughly $44.

So even on a $40 game I come out even or a little ahead and I won't have to hunt it down or worry that the local stores won't get it in on Tuesday. I've been burned numerous times by place like Best Buy or Gamestop not actually getting the game in until Wednesday. Instead the game will be waiting for me at home after work.

Good point about the tax - hadn't thought about that. I might just order it with FSSS and bite the bullet for a week waiting. I'll end up netting like 7 bucks or so, like you said.

...waiting is the hardest part! haha

To me, even if I did come out a couple of dollars behind, it's worth it not having to worry about the locals stores getting it in on time and saving me a trip there. Tomorrow I'll be able to go straight home after work and I'll find the game waiting on me. I've been using Amazon for most of my game purchases for this reason alone.

Plus, for this game, I actually got a $10 credit applied. After my last purchase (GoW III) they offered me a $10 credit toward another game as long as I used it by the end of April. Thankfully, they let me use the credit on a preorder so I was able to use it even though 3DDGH wasn't shipping until May.

Go with Amazon Prime. sure it's $80 a year, but if you buy a lot of stuff from there it actually saves in the end. they also give you free release day shipping with it as well. Actually managed to pick up 3DDH for $25 though. :P

Really pays to be a Prime member. Free 2-day shipping on everything sold by Amazon and free upgrade to RDD when it's available. FYI - You can share your Prime membership with three or four other people. So, if you and three other people throw in $20 each, it's not expensive at all. After a couple 2-day orders along with the cheaper cost and no tax(in most areas), it's paid for itself.

I got 3DDGH for $36.99 - $1.85(Gold Box Discount) - $35.14(Amazon VISA rewards) = free + no tax + release date delivery. I am an Amazon FREAK!!!
