The video provides you with a pretty good look at this aspect of the game; thankfully, it also contains a decent amount of actual racing, specifically highlighting TDU2's day/night cycle, weather effects and off-road driving. You know -- the other stuff you'll be experiencing when not shopping for clothes, getting cosmetic surgery or chilling in a jacuzzi on-board your yacht. (Actually, the MMO stuff is pretty cool ... )

I just want to race in my racing games.

Thankfully, there are dozens of racing games out for you right now!
Personally I really loved the mmo-feel of the first TDU. As personal favorites go, I rank it in the top 3 racing games this gen because of how many new ideas it brought to the table. I eagerly await TDU2 personally.

this game is going to be so frickin awesome! I can't wait! I've been wanting a sequal since the first one came out and now that it'll be on PS3 as well I'm even more excited!

i have played test drive since it appeared on the good old c64, to be honest the spirit of test drive has always been the "freedom of driving" even in the c64 times when you were stuck to a mountain, test drive has never been a racing game or a competition one, that`s for other games. I think this is the best way to keep the spirit of test drive alive, to be able to drive in a free world, it could sound boring but that`s what test drive has always been, at least with the first three ones.

I take it this is more of a sim racer, than an arcade racer?
Or is it a mix?

If it's anything like the first one, it's a mix. Sim-ish driving with an arcade feel to make it more exciting. Honestly the first one was a pretty great game. There aren't many open-world racers out there, but the first is by far my favorite. I've basically been waiting for this since support dropped off for the original TDU. With Atari's financial problems I was afraid we'd never see a sequel. Needless to say I am super excited about this.

If it was so highly rated I don't think you would have to spam a gaming site's comment section to get more listeners.

While I'm not getting excited about Blur for some reason, I am really looking forward to Test Drive 2. The first one was such a great game. I really enjoyed the free form driving, collecting cars, racing, competing in events, and exploring the island. It was one of the few racing games that I felt compelled to finish everything.

Man this looks crazy awesome. An MMO racer? I just hope the physics are tuned up from the first game and this will be my game of the year.

Does anyone know the name of the song/artist in the trailer?

Thank you. And for referencing the other trailer, I hadn't seen it.
I forget that, in this land of smartphones, finding the name of tracks is a fingerstroke away. My instinct is still to scroll down to see if anyone's posted what it is >.>

I just want Crazy Taxi on my 360. Is that too much to ask?

Isn't that a dreamcast game? If so, I'm surprised it isn't available. Is there an xbox 1.0?
I have that game for my PS2, though I wouldn't bother playing it on my PS3 with b/c because ... it's just not that much fun. GTA did Crazy Taxi better than Crazy Taxi did, IMO.

Crazy Taxi was awesome! I have clocked so many hours on those games! I have the PS2 and the PSP versions and would love a 360/PS3 version!

It's an open-world racing game that's focused on the cars. Personally I think it's acceptable if the graphics aren't ZOMG level; it seems like a fair trade-off for hundreds of miles of island road and no loading screens.

music sucks sooooo bad, but some elements I saw seem to be kinda fun. I dont get the whole avatar thing, I absolutely dont need it when driving all those cars. Its like a mash of GTA, PSN Home, and some arcade-ish GT5....seems like a lot on paper, but I cant wait for a demo to settle this for me.
BTW where the hell is Driver 4? Come on Atari make one! And dont ruin it for the love of god!! PLEASE?

Throw in some cheap eurotrash techno, a cheap "sims" creator to a once great racing game and you get a bucket of cheese. really?

I can't wait to go to the dealer, buy my low res jaggied car, drive to the cosmetic surgery clinic, get breast implants and a penis enlargement, enter a street race against Jim Bob, deal with the wonkiest physics in a current gen racer, buy the Barbie Dream House and then throw a pool party for 1000 guys and zero women.
Let the Fun Begin!

Game looks good overall. I really enjoyed the first one. But the uncanny valley in the avatars are horrible. It takes away from the interacting with others experience. Which is probably why my guy will be wearing sunglasses and keeping to himself -O,O-
