Trigger finger looking fat and out of shape, vegging out on the couch watching Golden Girls reruns? Well, it better shape up this fall, because even-year developer Treyarch's latest entry in the Call of Duty series, Call of Duty: Black Ops, is coming to the Wii on November 9, Eurogamer reports. This will be Treyarch's fourth Call of Duty Wii title, after 2006's Call of Duty 3, 2008's Call of Duty: World at War, and 2009's Modern Warfare - Reflex, a Wii-ificiation of Infinity Ward's 2007 classic.
The confirmation comes from an Activision rep who stated "Black Ops will be available on all four platforms, PS3, X360, PC and Wii, on 9th November" – pretty straightforward, eh? There wasn't any other news on the Wii version, so we contacted Activision directly which confirmed the Wii release but, sadly, couldn't offer much else in the way of details.

They did pretty well with what they could work with on the Wii's version of MW. It is FUN, just not as much and good as the others. Nothing is stopping the Wii version from not being fun. Saying so when knowing no details is stupid.

If you enjoy online shooters, but they aren't a priority, then you have a cause for concern that it isn't coming to Wii.
Certainly Call of Duty fans wouldn't be Wii-only people in the first place (nominally the real core CoD fans would be PC gamers anyway), but it's definitely a game that should be coming to Wii, being the lead platform and all
No less legitimate than the people complaining for Monster Hunter to go to PS3

It was odd that they left it unconfirmed. The Treyarch CoDs have always been day and date on Wii.

Oh wow, now one of my favorite eras of history is going to be glorified and trivialized by masses of kids thinking nothing but kill streaks and akimbo guns.

No you got it all wrong, the dualshock is one of the most uncomfortable controllers ever and the analogs are a joke both in function and design.

I bought the Wii to play hardcore titles. Just because they are outnumbered 50:1 by shitty casual games, doesn't mean there isnt more A+ exclusives on the Wii than the HD consoles this gen.
Also he was right. mouse+keyb > wiimote+nunchuck > dual analog
I've been playing FPS games since they were invented and playing games overall for 24 years. That sequence of FPS controls is spot on. I remember going from RE4 on the GC to the Wii and was astounded instantly at the significant improvement in the controls. The same can be said for the Metroid Prime games. If you'd ever played COD: World at War on the Wii you'd realise this yourself, the game is superb and the controls are almost as good as keyboad mouse. If you're too fail to own a Wii it's not our problem.

I prefer the Wii FPS controls as well over dual analog, though I still enjoy dual analog.
Speaking on RE4 for Wii - I think the Wiimote option made the game far too easy. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Better than the Wiimote controls and Cube supprt for RE4 Wii Edition is the classic controller. Perfectly mapped, takes away none of the tension and feels better in the hand than...even the Wavebird (still an awesome controller) simply due to the different button configuration.

I completely disagree about the Wii controls being better than analogs. I love the Metriod Prime series, but it is a bitch and a half to play on the Wii.

Same here, I find Wii controls far more annoying than dual analog.
To be honest, I even prefer my 360 controller to a mouse and keyboard in general. It feels a bit unwieldy and less comfortable, although to be fair, I barely play on my computer anymore (which is a Mac) and am not acclimated to the m&k setup. Steam for Mac may change that soon...
And DualShock sucks.

Treyarch did 3 on the Wii? I could have sworn that was some other company.
As far as comments on Wii FPS controls, I feel it comes down to your setup and positioning. I have no problems and quite enjoy the wiimote setup, better than dual analog IMO. I would advise to calibrate your remote and utilize a pillow on your lap to give your arm support, then you are only making small movements.
Works for me anyways.
I just stopped off to comment on Treyarch, I will resume even boycotting Activision posts now. They don't deserve the hits.

Nobodies buying Call of Duty: Black Ops on any console, right?
We are all boycotting it until they drop the DLC prices to a more reasonable price, right?
Besides, this one's done by Treyarch, and not many people enjoyed World at War, right?
Right?

I need more info before I get excited. If Black Ops on Wii has features to match it on the PS360, then we're talking. Treyarch has proven they can make a great FPS on Wii.

I read this earlier on http://www.callofdutyblackopsforums.com and I am really excited about it. I'm pumped they are going to have their own dedicated servers unlike MW2!
