If you've played through Heavy Rain, you know that most problems can't be solved by shooting a dude in the face. For GTA IV's Niko Bellic, that's very much a real problem solver -- a tactic he has no problem using. So it's a pretty odd juxtaposition to see the two games spliced together like they are in the video past the break.
It's a pretty great video, but we feel we should warn you that you probably won't get it if you've never played Heavy Rain. Unless you're watching this part, which we're pretty sure is funny no matter what game(s) you've played.
Maybe that's why I didn't enjoy it... I was assuming they were trying to parody Heavy Rain, and that video does not do a good job of doing that at all.
20 min was a bit much but they made their point. It is sad how accurate this is to actual Heavy Rain gameplay, if you would call it that. Heavy Rain was still a great piece of story telling, but in the case of GTA, if they pulled this I would boycott the franchise for life.
Lol, that was great. The part where he was screaming during the "warm coffee" bit made me laugh... Just his expression and the way he was screaming was hilarious.
wow, the game looks way cooler from these cinematic perspectives. from the normal gameplay view its almost impossible to see the pedestrians faces in such detail. I didn't realize they are so detailed. Too bad they weren't able to make the game display in true 720p, if it was a PS3 exclusive they may have. let alone 1080p.
This has got to be all in-game footage from GTAIV, right? Minus the prompts and the minor stuff they added in, that's pretty impressive. Must've taken awhile.
Oh, good. They sit there and waste 20 minutes, then mention the actual plot... I felt a little ripped off! I'm sure that was kind of the point, but you know what I'm sayin'... I think.
haha. I haven't played either games( i know, I'm a failure) and this was some funny sh*t. I got most of the jokes since I followed most of the previews of both games, but I really need to get me some gta IV and Heavy Rain
lol, pretty funny. But man does GTA IV look awkward from those angles. Some of the in-game animations look so robotic. Not that GTA is known for its realism.
Wow. Just wow. It was a little on the long side, got bored after the fight and stopped watching it but what I watched was great. I loved the orange juice bit because I always failed at that in Heavy Rain xD
His HJ O-face made me laugh so hard...watching this at work got a little awkward at the warm coffee part! Why did they get it on in the massive garage with the door open, then he had to drive her to the front door?!?
