MGS: Peace Walker UNIQLO shirts available in the US in June

The quirky Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker t-shirt line being sold by retailer UNIQLO will be available in the US starting June 11. To celebrate the US launch, Hideo Kojima himself will appear at the Flagship UNIQLO store in New York City on that day to sign autographs. In addition, prizes including artbooks and PSP bundles will be given away.

The best part: for the millions of us who don't live anywhere near a UNIQLO store, the shirts will also be available online. Each one will include a code for the same shirt in-game. You can put a picture of Snake on Snake so you can sneak while you sneak. See all the designs here.

Good news! A few weeks ago I searched UNIQLO here in the UK to see if they had these shirts, but alas they didn't (Although I found a cool Pokemon shirt with a screenshot from the original games in front of the 3 Pokeballs and it says "Which?"). I hope this means they will be coming across the pond too. The one with Big Boss' face is the victorious design.

Scratch that. The back of the top right shirt has an epic design of Big Boss in the artwork style of the covers and manuals of MGS:

New York is not that dangerous... I'm from Texas and the grittiest part of the city is the Bronx which is a lot like south side Dallas.

I bought the grey one in the top right in the Uniclo 5 mins from my house last week :)

That "Big Boss" shirt needs a neon green "Vision" cap to accompany it.

UNIQLO is awesome! I was fortunate enough to be in japan 2 weeks ago and picked up the dogtag and cardboard box head tshirt

But seriously, there's tons of nice not-too-expensive shops in the US that we don't have here in Canada. It's unfair. :(

I made it to the MGS4 launch party and Hideo autograph sessions a couple of years ago, but I don't think I can make it this time :(

On the bright side, some of those are really sweet and I'm glad I can get one or two without ridiculous eBay shipping charges (some places wanted $25 per shirt for the MGS4 batch)

Was it a whole day affair, or was it in the early opening hours? I want to know whether or not to take off work to try & meet Kojima (and get an autograph!).

Considering the physiques of gamers nowadays, they'll need an ample supply of XS and XL.

Haha, gotta love every time you see gaming shirts on a site, the XL and XXL are all sold out.

LOL....funny.

But the irony is sadly I really hope they XXL. I mean, I ain't gone lie I'm no skinny-minnie, plus being a chick with a 'full set' doesn't help. From what the web site says the sizes run smaller than US sizing, so they tell you to get at least a size bigger than normal.

Those shirts are amazing. Even though I wont be getting any games in June, I'll be getting some shirts.

Dammit, I want UNIQLO in Canada!

Oh well, looks like I'll have to do with my school's CAD vinyl cutter.
