$60 PS3 Greatest Hits & DualShock 3 bundles on Amazon

First-party PS3 controllers are still retailing at the relatively lofty price point of $45 (plus tax!) -- wouldn't you rather pay just a little bit more and get a game to go along with your peripheral? Amazon will give you the opportunity to do just that with a selection of $60 bundles, which include a DualShock 3 controller and your choice of "Greatest Hit" in LittleBigPlanet: GOTY Edition, Resistance 2, Killzone 2 or inFamous.

These pairings seem to be an extension of the Uncharted/DualShock bundle offered last December. Like the Uncharted deal, these bundles will likely be available at a number of other retailers -- but we've highlighted Amazon because it offers free shipping!

I was shown this last night. Brilliant value if you don't already have the game. Heck, even if you do have it you can still give the game as a gift.

Hmm.. my friend just lost one of his controllers. This is a good deal for him.

How do you lose a controller? Your friend is not fit for video games.

I've lost TV remotes but never a controller. He needs to be more careful with his controllers.

If only these controllers were somehow tethered to the console. Almost like a leash if you will, so that the controllers do not stray far from the system. A cable could be attached to the two to avoid the problems like SpaceFox encountered. I mean, his friend of course.

I got a few laughs out of these. No, really, MY FRIEND did lose a controller... somehow. It was a piece o shit anyways, not even a dualshock, it's about time he got a new one.

Might actually get the R2 one, keep meaning to pick it up and could always use a new or extra controller. Is split-screen in Resistance 2 fun?

It's not campaign co-op like the first game, so IMO it's a step backward from R1.

I suppose this is a pretty decent deal, since LBP is still over $20 (even used) everywhere I've looked.

Is that GOTY edtion or the standard edition?

Knowing employee discount at Best Buy for DS3 is $37, and about 25 or less for the game that sounds about a good deal for the everyday consumer. My dualshock just broke... bluh.

Wow. I clicked the link to see the deals $79.99 for Uncharter bundle. A minute later I click the Uncharted bundle and it's $84.99. Go back, still says $79.99. Hit refresh and it's $84.99.

Even with the announcement of the sequel, I'd still say LBP.

Resistance 2 I haven't played (tried the MP demo and wasn't particularly interested in it), and Killzone 2, while good, just didn't have the lasting value for me. I bought it for the single player and was satisfied with that, but if you want a multiplayer game then go with LBP.

I'd say that all of them are "must haves" but if I had to pick one it'd be InFamous, friggin love that game

also the Uncharted one is so expensive because they don't make it anymore (it was out last year I believe) and now people are trying to get ridiculous prices for the few that remain

i disagree with spike, i loved lbp to it's core, but i'd go for kz2 and wait for lbp2

I already own inFamous and I have a $30 Amazon credit... I'm just unsure what I want. :(

Although I rarely play my PS3 (got it for cheap, couldn't pass it up), I don't have much use for a second controller at the moment, but I have wanted to get inFamous, so might pick that up...

Pretty good deal if you still don't own one of those games.

Too bad Motorstorm: PR isn't in that bundle. It's a great multiplayer game.

I got one of the December bundles with the first PS3 Ratchet & Clank and a blue DualShock 3... great deal.

I see more and more incentives to buy a PS3 arising.

I still haven't red zapped all evil like through Empire City yet, so yes--GET.

lol this is like the Wii Play/Wiimote combo. Except that this doesn't suck.
