I was invited via email to try this game...well, I can safely say its another kart racer...but I suppose the full version would be much funner. Otherwise, would prefer on the ps3.

I dunno. I, for some reason, pre-ordered Blur last night immediately after playing the Split/Second demo. Split/Second wasn't bad but it just felt too.. plain to me in comparison to Blur.

Maybe I was doing it wrong? *shrug*

I am going through the same thought crisis..

My first run through the game I was like ok this is decent.. but nothing special..
Then on my second run I saved up for a level 2 power-up.. and when I destroyed the control tower and opened up a whole new route.. and then brought an Airplane down on said route I was like O_O

They might just get a portion of my hard earned student loan cash.

That depends whether you rely on online to determine if a game is fun. If you're a single-player gamer like me, then it's going to be just as fun when it's $20. If you're counting on the online community, their attention span will have buzzed to something else before this hits $45.

My problem is that, as a general rule, I just don't have any patience.

I think what I may do is give it a rent, and then just try to wait for the $30 price range new.

Or $40'sh used from Gamestop, since I have tons of credit there.

I know I'll be waiting on Split/Second. ModNation Racers is the reason why I bought my PS3 in the first place two months ago, and one racing game per month is definitely enough.

You guys forgot to mention that the Spring Fever 2010 stuff is still going on, and this week, they are offering 2 bundles, one from Pop Cap, costing $25, and the other from Midway, costing $15.

The Pop Cap bundle comes with "Bejeweled 2, Peggle, Zuma, Heavy Weapon, and Feeding Frenzy 2 Shipwreck Showdown."

The Midway bundle comes with "Mortal Kombat II, Championship Sprint, Gauntlet II, Joust, and Rampage World Tour"

I don't subscribe, but I used to download the free episodes that they used to give out in PTOM.

I think it's pretty cool, actually. I like the production values, and I feel like they do a really good job on it. Plus you get random free stuff sometimes.

I think it's worth 25 dollars to subscribe, and one of these days I'll actually do it. =P

I too got the free downloads from PSM...and I can tell you right now, it's not even worth bandwidth it takes to download those episodes (and I have unlimited bandwidth!). Save your money, buy a game instead.

Please take my advice and don't subscribe. I did because the first year was really awesome, but GOOD GOD this is just complete crap. It's like "FREE DEMOS BETAS AND AWESOME INFORMATION!!!1110neeleven111" and everything sucks. It was a spur of the moment decision that, even though it resulted in me buying MAG(Which is my wet-dream lovechild), but it isn't worth it. Sometimes you'll get stuff that isn't related to video games, and most times you'll get information you already know.

Save your cash. Veronica's an awful host, the info is generally old, and its been REALLY lacking in exclusive content lately. I subscribe and sometimes I don't even dl the episodes Cuz it takes a long time and they're generally boring.

I disagree with those directly above me. I like the freebies every month, and it gives me a nice look at some games I wouldn't have thought too much about. I preordered ModNation Racers due entirely to its Qore coverage (okay, some Joystitaku previews helped too, but Qore pushed me over the edge).

And i don't dislike Ms. Belmont. She can be a little silly at times, but I think she's fairly charming.

...Also, you'll occasionally get random emails with redeemable codes. They come out of left field, seriously. I like it, and I think it's totally worth it. It's not a lot of money for some cool stuff. Easily worth the $25/24/whatever.

Honestly I enjoy it. Every month you get a free theme (WAHOO!), I've gotten a couple free psn games, and of course... they talk about games. Most of the time the info's old (All the time actually), but to me it's kind of the same premise as reading a review from multiple sites. I only really need to read one, but getting multiple views on a game is always cool. Plus they had a 2 month preview of ILM... and that was hands down the best thing I've ever gotten from qore!

I'm mad that I just realized that the Split Second demo was in the EU store since last Thursday. I d-loaded off there this morn. I forgot to check the EU store that morning since the US Store day went to Tues. I used to check both stores on Thurs.

At any rate, I've played it 3 times since this morning and I like it. The graphics are beautiful and it's just plain fun. I may get Split Second but I think I was confusing it with Blur for a while. I haven't been following Blur but I followed Split Second after the first couple trailers then forgot about it.I know virtually nothing about Blur.

I bought Monopoly thinking it was PSP only, thinks to this list, and it plays fine on my PS3. I think this is about localization or something. The game on the PS3 is always telling me to pass the PSP to the next player.

Totally enjoyed the Split Second demo. Played it quite a few times, and I anticipate playing it some more after school. However, I do hope they do a tiny bit better with the sense of speed in the full game. Otherwise, though, it's great fun.
