There was a bit of confusion following the release of EA's Q3 2010 investor's report, which seemed to omit a mention of a PC version of Visceral Games' next deep space horror-surgery title, Dead Space 2. The most definite answer EA could give us back in February about its intentions to bring the game to our compy was, "A PC SKU is under consideration." Now, after three months of heartfelt consideration, EA has come to a decision: Yes, fine, you can have Dead Space 2 on PC.
Those weren't EA's exact words, mind you -- rather, yesterday's Q4 2010 investor's report simply mentioned the game will launch on consoles, handhelds and PC. EA later confirmed via Tweet that the PC listing was legit, and not some kind of sick, twisted act of schadenfreude executed against personal computer enthusiasts.

During the confusion I was worried for you PC gamers. This is not a title that should pass up PC at all. Glad to see you're getting it!

Good news. I was going to pass up on this game and probably wait until it was on sale. Now that It's coming out for PC I'll be picking it up day one. I loved the first game.

it was completely stupid to skip the p.c. To be honest in this times it`s completely stupid to jump ANY platform, if making the game for other console is going to give you 400,000 copies more then that`s what they should do. I suppose EA learned his lesson after the disappointing sales of dante inferno and brutal legend, they made them for consoles only and they flopped. if those games would`ve been released for the p.c. too at least they could have sold some thousand copies more something that doesn`t hurt at the end of the fiscal year report.

Good news! I remember reading an interview with a DS developer and they talked about developing for pc, so it's nice to see they follow through in DS2.

Is that the official art? Didn't Left 4 Dead 2 have to change their gnawed on hand for some reason? Too gory, or something like that?

I think Dead Space is almost unplayable on the PC, at least with mouse and keyboard controls. Its one of the worst ports Ive ever seen. The FPS is capped at 30 and the sensitivity, even at its highest is for analog sticks so looking around is EXTREMELY slow . Maybe ill just plug in my 360 controller and see if that works better

You fail on every level. The FPS is not capped at 30. The controls are not slow on the Mouse/KB, I find it more playable than the controller. The aiming is not an issue at all, force v-sync in your video cards control panel, and disable it in game. Works like a dream.

actually no the controls aren't the problem with Dead Space on the PC. for me, the problem is the random crashes. i recently bought the game used for my PC and dammit does it look and control beautifully (if you do as labrat01 says that is)! i don't know if EA plans on releasing a patch for the PC version but i hope they do soon. i just bought myself a 46 inch SONY Bravia HDTV and i would LOVE to play it on it.
