Don't be fooled by the seeming simplicity of the gameplay seen here. While Limbo is a platformer, it features many unique physics-based environmental puzzles, which aren't well demonstrated in this brief teaser. Reminds me a lot of Heart of Darkness for some reason, looks great. Definitely on my want list.

Blood and gore, yeah . . . True horrors of zombie-esque people and mutant space men goring buff mercs/cops and marines/miners, sure, that's gruesome and all. But nothing comes close a your character, a little boy no less, getting snapped in half by a cave worm, even if you don't get to actually 'see' it happening.

how old are you to be calling me a kid? You don't even know how old I am. How scary Implied violence is, compared to the violence that can be viewed is subjective. I'm just saying the RE4 and Dead Space deaths were as awesome as they were gruesome. Something that "implied" violence can never achieve. There really is no point in arguing over this. You can keep to your views and I'll keep to mine, but don't be so condescending in your posts. It's annoying.

It's a turn of phrase mate, I don't deal in assumptions. You may be old, you may be young, and you may be the same age as I . . . It really doesn't matter, because that phrase wasn't directed towards your age, rather your immature cling to the notion that 'gruesome' is reserved for sci-fi horror gore fests.
Hope that wasn't TOO condissen . . . condicean . . . drats, well, you know what I mean, 'cause you ain't no kid, no sir, no how.

Even if they weren't shown, the implied death sequences in the trailer had a greater effect on me than anything I saw in RE4 or Deadspace, simply because violence against a child is a different sort of wrong. The way the trailer was made really emphasised the boyness of the character, then had him getting in shittier and shittier situations.

Wrong, Dead Space had the single best death sequence ever.

...creeeeeeeepy.
But I'm strangely drawn to it.
This is like a darker version to that Wii game called "Tower of Shadow" or something along those lines.

That is freaking rad. An original Xbox Live Arcade game that I'll actually buy... lunacy!

Wow, the combination of darkness and sound is truly disturbing. I really hope this won't stay on Xbox alone...

If this comes to PS3 I would buy it. Looks awesome.

Dunno why these guys are down voted. Unlike actual fanboys that would say "looks shit, don't want it" because it's not on PS3, they're actually admitting it looks like a great game they just don't have the option to buy it. But they would if they could.

I'm looking forward to this game. I've never been so far behind my gaming as I am right now. I'll get it day one anyway.

Summer 2010 is all anyone knows. I hate those kind of release dates; they really put me into... limbo.

I can see this game becoming another consideration for "games as art".
Even while listening without audio (at work, sigh) it was playing with my emotions.
Get some brilliant music to go along with this game and it'll be one hell of a title.

When I saw the headline I thought Hasbro Family Game Night had gone too far. But yeah, this game continues to look awesome.

I spent the entire weekend pouring over videos of this game . . . over and over and over again.
This little gem is going to be insane, and is just the kind of thing I have been looking for.
Gametrailers has a few more vids of Limbo: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/limbo/3310
they've also apparently taken one of the vids they had up this weekend, down. But the ones remaining, are definitely worth more than a look; they are worth obsessing over. You'll see what I mean when you watch them: http://www.gametrailers.com/game/limbo/3310

Looks like an artsy platformer version of Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. Which is awesome, I'll buy both titles as soon as they release.

This game would look INSANE on the deep-rich inky blacks of a huge plasma screen...
I shall have to put up with "amazing art direction, but damn those blacks aren't very deep" on my LCD screen...
