Eurogamer recently got an extensive look at BioWare's upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, during which time it learned the game's seemingly narrow list of eight classes will be expanded upon by offering the player specialization options. Each class will have the option of two distinct "Advanced Classes," increasing the total number of archetypes available in the game by, like ... 300 percent? Maybe?
The first two Advanced Classes revealed can be chosen by a high-level Sith Warrior, who can follow the path of the Marauder (a damage-dealing, Darth Maul-esque class) or the Juggernaut (a heavily armored, Darth Vader-esque class). Considering the former got totally cut in half by Ewan McGregor, we might appreciate the safety and security offered by the latter.

Looks like a talent tree to me :D

Because clearly WoW invented talent trees. It's not like WoW created its talent trees off other similar things like say the original pre-NGE SWG branching class system. No of course, WoW invented talent trees, just like Al Gore invented the internet.

This will be the next MMO I try. Been off the WoW for a while now, and could use a refreshing new fix.

I really hope they let you track down Revan in this game.

I somewhat agree, but I wish instead they just made a KOTOR3...
Maybe if this is insanely popular, after a couple years or so, they go back and make KOTOR3, as a sort of 'prequel' to the ToR in a sense.

How many times is the word "midichlorians" used in this game?

This looks so familiar. I know I've seen this somewhere else....
Seriously though, this game is for sure on my radar.

No matter how many times I hear about it, I am doing my best not to read anything about this game. Getting hyped for an MMO, or a Blizz/Valve game is just asking for your heart strings to get pulled by delays.

yeah, reminds me of Dragon Age

More like EQ2 with its branching class system (i.e. start as an Adventurer, then choose Fighter, Priest, Mage, or Scout achetype, then a Fighter can choose Warrior, Crusader, or Brawler class, then finally a Brawler can choose a Bruiser or Monk subclass).

The more I hear about this game the more I want to play it. Just sucks that we're going to have to wait till at earliest April next year for it to come out

No need to downrank him, he's being sarcastic I assume. ME1 and ME2 both have advanced classes(ME1 you pick them after the Rogue VI mission), so TOR's Advanced Classes are not a foreign concept to ME players.

Glad this route was took. Was hoping eventually in wow you would lead to a higher class then starting but never evolved, what a wasted chance.
