We were promised these Grateful Dead songs way before Snoop and Pantera. After two years of waiting it is soooo nice to finally see Touch of Grey show up.

I don't recall being promised those by a specific time so as long as they come eventually, Harmonix will be keeping their promise.

@Mcmax3000 You're right about snoop dogg, but Pantera was supposed to be released in 2009, before the holiday season: http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/19/rock-band-dlc-to-hit-1000-tracks-by-holiday-with-help-of-queen/

Pantera was NOT promised by the end of 2009. They simply said that there would be "x" amount of songs on Rock Band by the end of the year. They never once said that those artists would be out before 2010.

I could care less about the Snoop Dogg, but I've been wanting more Pantera since, well, Guitar Hero 2.

Joystiq just poorly worded the article you posted. The actual Harmonix post on Rockband.com never said those specific artists would be out in time to help Rock band reach 1000 songs.

I've always thought Cherry Garcia ice cream should contain guitar picks and small bits of beard.

Rest of the Beatles albums, please. Or at least the bigger hits, come one. Where's Eleanor Rigby?

Awesome to get the Grateful Dead, though..

Outside of the microphone, what instruments would you play Eleanor Rigby on? I've yet to receieve my Rock Band cello...

A fair point, but they've addressed it in plenty of other songs, like the Benefit of Mr. Kite and Within you Without You.

No they didn't. They never said that. Please don't start rumors, it's just making me want to keep my backhand strong.

It's great to see The Smithereens get some love but come on, now..."Behind the Wall of Sleep," please?

For being a Black Sabbath cover they surprisingly did well with it. I wouldn't mind seeing the original or Smithereens version for download.

As happy as i am to see another Dead pack... i wish they would have done some live tracks instead of all masters. Can't wait to play Scarlet!

Yeah...but then they would be all 20+ minutes long with Gerry and Bob just shredding...I guess that wouldn't be a bad thing for the guitar players in the games.

Total number of Grateful dead songs in rock band = 19

Of course, there's still at least two other bands (Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam) that have more tracks available.

RB has tons of diversity even with those spikes in counts for certain bands. You can't please everyone every week (or every month for that matter). I know that there have been times where I'll go a few weeks without seeing anything I'm interested in, or maybe 1 track or something.

I still love the game and still play it regularly.

I'm seeing fewer and fewer RB songs I'm even remotely interested in buying, unfortunately. Granted, the RB songs are still 10x better than the GH5 tracks, but I'd really like more modern, popular rock, especially the harder stuff. Then again, maybe 250 songs is enough to last me out the rest of the year.

Although i should say that "Throwing Stones" is probably one of their worst songs. They really should have included more of the dead's difficult and complex songs. Enough of the studio stuff.
