GameStop pre-orders of AC: Brotherhood include Harlequin bonus character

The description of the "GameStop exclusive" Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood pre-order bonus seems apt for the terrifying Harlequin character: "Behind the gaudy costume and twisted smile lies the soul of a merciless assassin. You call yourself the Harlequin. Your victims will call you a walking nightmare." Presumably the whole "walking nightmare" thing is because you're a "merciless assassin," but for us, the clown makeup is sufficiently horrifying in its own way.

No details have been provided on what other retailers might give to pre-order customers, but if past Assassin's Creed "retailer exclusive" bonuses are any indication, the Harlequin will be available for all to play eventually (presumably for a few virtual bucks). We've dropped an additional image of the terrifying multiplayer character in our gallery below, should you be so inclined. Oh, and you can pre-order the game right here.

No, but the guy he's killing does look a little like Bats.

Off the top of my head I think "Harlequin" just means clown or at least has a lore of being like gremlins that cause miss fortune for fun.

because they are doing two things i don't like. murdering and being a clown.

careful their Cypher....unlike today, back then if you called a Jester or Harlequin a clown they would have your head

Is it bad that after reading the headline about AC: Brotherhood, I went "Wow, a New Animal Crossing!?"

Same I always get the 2 acronyms confused.

Not as bad as God of War or Gears of War. Unless the conversation is very single-console sided, its the worst acronym.

Reminds me of Pandemonium on the PS1. Pretty awesome.

But why are they announcing pre-order characters when they've shown next to nothing of this game. All we know is that it's Multiplayer, and it's Assassin's Creed.

That dude's a bit disturbing. Looks like he'd be ugly even with out his makeup.

I feel uncomfortable looking at that dude's mask and I would feel even more uncomfortable killing people while dressed like that.

I'm a pretty slow gamer, i haven't even played it yet. So i will before i play this, but i'm a little concerned that it is already almost done, and rushed.

@ Bedrock, Exactly I will do the same thing since I'm pretty sure this will drop drastically like the first two. Heck by that point I'll most likely have played it from my Gamerang Q.

so thats the reason i keep caught is cause i'm wearing this damn black suit didnt know bright green was so nonconspicuous

i still dont see the business strategy behind this game. is it full fledged or more just like an extension of assassins creed 2. it seems far too quick.

Well it has 15 hours gameplay so the other article says and i always get stuck on a bit rage and then come back to it in a week so probably about 46 hours for me

Can't wait for the game but I won't be doing the pre-order thing.
