Why is the PSP GO above the PS2 if the PS2 outsold it?

Because, as far as we know, Ben Gilbert isn't a robot (and if he is a Robot, he must be running on an outdated version of Windows).

As of now, the selection is Steams catalog for Mac is shitty if not lame. I really really hope devs make mac versions for many games like Fallout and Mass Effect... who the hell wants to keep playing indi games all the time?

This is what people haven't realised, even though steam is on mac that doesn't mean devs will start putting their games on it!

Mac gaming is a pretty niche market. I don't think you're going to see many ports to Mac just because Steam has it now.

coming from a pc gamer, all i play are source games. imo valves game's are the best available on the pc nowadays. I know plenty of ppl. disagree, but if u have enough time to sink 5 hours into dragon age, you have enough time to boot into windows. it's great being able to pop in a quick game of team fortress or counterstrike. just my 2 cents (not saying that it wouldnt be even better to have all of the popular game available on the mac, but just have the selection of valve games is amazing)

Well, if newer tools become available that make it easy to author (or at least create a great deal of content) Mac titles at the same time as PC games then it might stand a chance. It's an extra avenue of potential customers.

*the following question is from someone who knows nothing about it*
If Mac and the PS3 both use OpenGL, would it also be possible to work on both platforms at once?

Nintendo needs to step up its Wii game in Japan. They're back on top, but they weren't for too long for a market leader.

I think there's bound to be more ups and downs and jostling for top spot in Japan because obviously in Japan there's one dominant HD console, the PS3, so it has that market pretty much all to itself and hence is able to give the Wii much more of a run for its money. Whereas in the West the two HD consoles are more or less even in popularity and so that market is divided evenly between the PS3 and 360. If there was one dominant HD console in the West the weekly/monthly hardware charts would be similar to Japan's.

My PC barely ran it. However, once I set the resolution to the lowest, and ran in window mode, it ran a lot better. Try that out!!! I managed to play the entire game pretty smoothly (for the most part) like that! :]

How the hell can you even own a PC that won't run Portal? The draw distance is negligible; I remember being able to play it on my HP Media Center from like 2006 with integrated graphics while I waited for my 3650 to be delivered.

Good times...

It's pretty obvious they are mostly Mac users considering how often Joystiq recycles all the old Crysis needs a supercomputer and Vista problems from 2007 jokes.

I dunno, I've had a lot of people tell me how suck Mac is when they hear that I have one. TBH I've never really met mac users outside my family so I can't comment on that, but I doubt they'd be any difference.

I don't know why anybody would think that people act differently because they own a different kind of computer.

@Ishatonu

don't get me wrong man, I used windows all my life, but one day my pc broke during an important work that I was doing (no big deal, computers break.. and the files were on ext. HD so I didn't lose anything), so I had to borrow my friends mac for a while.. I got used to it and liked it.. He wanted to buy a new one so he sold me his and I never returned to PC again... So much less headache now days believe it or not..

@KSPRAYDAD

I am the opposite, especially on Joystiq. The Windows users that I encounter on here and other places are the ones starting Mac attacks and telling us how stupid we are for not using their computer of choice.

Each side has their assholes. It's ridiculous to think that one side is "out to get the other" or something like that

They only reason i used to have an anti-Mac agenda was because of those damned lying commercials, which gracefully seemed to have faded away. Ultimately there is no real difference for the average user.
