I was referring to the display picture and the gigantic kitty in particular. Just in case you thought I consider Super Scribblenauts cuter then any human child.

It seems odd for them to crank out a sequel so quickly.

I wouldn't call this a sequel so much... it's sounding more like a "patch", to make it the game it had so much promise to be the first time around.

Looking forward to it!

Awesome! i could never finish the first one due to the horrible controls, it just got annoying after a while. Instead i would just summon creatures and make them fight. God vs Dinosaur? Lion vs dragon? mafia vs zombies? and you can summon a large hardon collider, mine exploded and made a black hole haha

This is not the place for talking about hardon coliders.

Always thought "Lolly, lolly, lolly get your adverbs here" was catchier, as far as the parts of speech ones go.

Sounds awesome but really skeptical they can pull off this. Stealth undead furry cyber ninja, huh? In Scribblenauts 1, a lot different nouns were represented by just one spirite.

Then again, Scribblenauts 1's ROM dump size is VERY small, so maybe should 5th Cell have more resources...

But most importantly, what I want most is that objects should interact with each other as people would expect the way they do. More than just one eat another or one fight another, or one blow up another. Ideally 3 or more objects can interact together. Then again that maybe too much a stretch for DS. Oh if only they build this as a PC game, image the mods!(or even console in LBP style)

If they fix the control issues, I'm pretty much sold for the next game.

Agreed. First game controls killed the fun out of it.

You know, I heard a ton of people say that, but I'm pretty certain I never knew what the hell they were talking about.

The first game was the most disappointing thing to ever grace my DS. I mean it was just wasted potential. About the first 7-8 puzzles were enjoyable trying to figure out how many different ways you could solve it. Once you had any sort of action the game devolved into your character committing suicide the moment you touched the screen.

I don't relish the idea of paying 30-40 dollars for a patch.

I remember when adding "Super" to the title did, in fact, make it a super great game most of the time.

I suspect that in this case it will only mean "better".

Wait, is this Scribblenauts 2? I read about this a couple months ago in Nintendo Power. They're seriously taking to heart the criticisms of the original's controls and gameplay structure, and from what I've seen, its going to be all the better for it.

Fix the control and you'll get a purchase.

Good premise and fun but the touch to move controls are just ass.

Because the concept is brilliant?

If the controls and execution hadn't been bad the game would have been brilliant.

I still have to try the first...I find it hard to believe that the controls were really that bad. But if they're actually improved I'll probably just skip to number 2.
