Joystiq are never late, popsicles. Nor are they early. They post precisely when they mean to.

Game of the forever and ever years. The only thing that could possibly be better is Aperture Science technology being a fixture in a little game called Half-Life 2 Episode Three.

I love this game too.. I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I've got over 180 hours logged on the PC version and I still love playing it. As the others said, the key is finding a good server where people work together and communicate. There is nothing quite like overcoming an seemingly invincible defense of turrets, crocket shooting soldiers and uber'ed heavies and pushing a cart full of explosives into the enemies base.

Don't understand the appeal of Team Fortress, probably never will. I want to like it, but for some reason I just can't.

Same here. But I'm guessing because I just suck at it. I came to the party wayyyyyyy too late. I just keep getting pwned. :(

I didn't like the gameplay at all, there was just no appeal to me. Cool art style though.

The key to playing Team Fortress 2 is to play with friends. It's got 'team' in the title for a reason. Even if you're late to the party and your friends have been playing forever, play with them, play private games, start from scratch playing base maps/modes . . . you'll learn to play as long as your friends aren't douchebags.

I played on 360 from the beginning and stopped when it didn't get updates. I picked up the PC version a year after that WAY behind. I play for fun, my friends are actual friends, and I had the fortune to take it slow . . . I may not be the best, but I hold my own, and we all have fun. It's soooo worth learning the finer details, you'll never play a game with legs like this until Valve releases the sequel in 2017.

Then again, that's the type of game I like to play. A game with legs, and a game with a strong community. I don't migrate to the new thing and leave the old one to collect dust. Multiplayer games with a high learning curve are usually worth the effort, and TF2 has by far the most gracious curve of all.

Another key to playing Team Fortress 2 is playing in a good server. Find a good server, play with the same people regularly, talk and communicate, and the game is really, really fun. I like to play in the Jiggly's Fun House servers.

I've been playing since beta, and i've got the primevil medal to prove it. No other multiplayer has lasted that long, not even halo for me. And i have no intention to quit anytime soon. They get FREE updates all the TIME! in fact, there was the 119th update not too long ago. We had cake.

Nerdydesi, for someone who claims to be a "PC gamer", you sure talk a lot of shit that isn't true. You do the same thing on Kotaku. Wish you'd go back to consoles or save your dumb comments for your parents.

I think he was being sarcastic. Hence the quotes. Meaning it is rumored pc gaming is dying not that he actually believes it is. Did u want me to say it in spanish in case u didn't get it?

How did I miss out on the Crysis mod? That was amazing!

Now ontopic:
However cool that is that's horribly over-powered. The fact you can put enemies in loops and such would just lead to more people raging. At first everyone's cool with it, then just more and more rages happening.

Also, can rockets, flames, bullets, and such go through the portals too? If so that'd be cool.

Yeah but as I recall Kotaku paid $5000 to get that news five days early and they weren't even supposed to have it yet. Then they broke the leaked build they got while showing it off.

Joystiq plays by the rules, man.

I know I sound super nerdy, but it wasn't actually a gun. It was a gamma Ray emitting portal device.

Which apparently was worth more than all the organs in the people of your hometown (according to GLaDOS)
