Finally manage to revisit AC2 last weekend and now I'm almost finished. It really is a well made game.

Extremely well done, the controls alone are some of best tuned I've ever played.

I just started play AC2 again. The first time I played it I was disappointed with it compared to the first one but I am enjoying it more and more.

I haven't felt like touching this game since finishing it... mostly because of how unsatisfying the ending was.

But hey, its fun to make the guy run with his neck like a turtle in the loading sequences

Agreed. IDK why but I stopped playing right before the Pope fight back in November, so I decided to finish it last week, and the ending was amazing. Can't wait for AC3.

I have to say that kicking the Pope's ass was my favorite part.

Recently bought SC:C and I loved it. They did a very good job of keeping you interested and helping a person whos never played a SC game understand the characters. I highly enjoyed it!

SC isn't really known for its story. Its usually just, OMG a terrorist, sneak sneak sneak, Lambert: Dammit Fisher, stop killing civilians or sneak sneak sneak, Lambert: Dammit Fisher if you trigger one more alarm the mission is compromised. Blah, blah, blah. Its gameplay is top notch though. I'll award 10 internets to someone who can summarize one of the splinter cells plots without looking it up or cheating.

arggh i had an impossibly simple explanation but "YOU DID IT!" happened.
Bad stuff happens to the japanese only they hired Sam's old friend to do it to them for the attention and Sam saves New York City and fights the korean war by himself and then exposes the japanese, the end

You know, they could expect losses. It's nothing extraordinary and nothing to worry about.

If you enjoyed the first AC at all, get the second one. More good, less bad.

Glad Conviction is doing good!

I love it and I hope it can reach 3+ million lifetime on the 360.

I think it will once it drops in price/goes on sale.

I doubt 3m on the 360 alone, that 1.8m is probably also taking into account the PC version

At last, vindication.

Prior to the release of AC2, I was arguing with some naysayers, who did not believe that Ubisoft could turn it around for the franchise; that AC2 would be both a critical and commercial success, and that AC2 would go on to outsell AC's 7 million unit mark. Hearing that not only has AC2 outsold AC, but done so in a fraction of the time . . . yep, that is the sweet smell of vindication. Factoring in the tail, AC2 could pull down as much as 12 million, total lifetime sells, making it one of the ten most successful games, not bundled with a Wii-mote, or balance board, this generation.

Oh, and much kudos for Splinter Cell: Conviction. This and GTA4, were the first games that I pre-ordered this generation . . . all the way back in 2005 (yes, they were both available for pre-order in 2005). I love this game to death, and it along with Uncharted 2, are on the very limited, handful of games this gen, that I instantly started over again, once I had beat it. Co-op is a blast, and glad to see the game move just under 2 million units in about a month's time. Again, with the tail, this one could move anywhere between 4 to 6 million units, all before the seemingly inevitable port to PS3 in time for Xmas . . . where it'll probably net another 1.5 to 2.5 million units sold.

Great to see some of my favorite games getting both critical and commercial success. Let's hope Ubisoft does not lose it's touch when it comes getting the next Ghost Recon and Beyond Good and Evil 2.

AC2 is amazing. I just beat it about five minutes ago and it's everything you could ever want in a sequel. They took the good parts of the first game, expanded and refined them in every way, trimmed away repetitive things that no one liked, made the open world exploreable (I detest any game where touching water = death) and had an interesting and unique storyline to boot. Of course, the boatloads of sales aren't hurt by the fact that it could be bought for $30 just a few months after release.

9 Million Copies SHIPPED?. No wonder it was marked down to $40 rather quickly at most retailers.
