Ghost Recon: Future Soldier delayed into 'March quarter' 2011

Sad to hear this. Loved the GR:AW games & was looking forward to this but at least it'll be something less to purchase during the always crowded holiday season.

So you're avoiding Halo and Call of Duty to compete with... Gears 3 and Bulletstorm? Plus, how many other shooters are gonna do this exact same thing, Ubisoft? Oh, what's that? You'll just push it to summer then? Okay then.

Next year has next year's competitors. Say, Gears 3, and maybe one of Sony's shooters, and titles we don't know yet. Best solution probably should be make your game better.

Ah well, if they would like extra time to polish, then it is.

Though I find it interesting that a large portion of games listed polishing as a reason for delay, would eventually came out with obvious rough edges.

this less about "polishing the game" and more about padding ubi Q1 earnings statement.

look at splinter cell they had four years to polish the game (lol) and then realized after release they removed everything including vs multi-player and dozens of core game play mechanics that made the game a "Spinter Cell" game. giving them more time just means more chance to screw it up.

Considering GRAW and Splinter Cell are more then liked 50%+ the same game engine textures animations etc, its makes it even more obviously it has nothing to do with development and more to do with making investors think ubi stock price is worth it.

it just sucks as we the gamers are left with fewer fewer studios which can dictate release dates to publishers.. who's left? valve? Bungie?

exactly what comment above said i highly doubt the extra time will result in a better experience or game just more smoke and mirrors.

damn...here we go again....Next Spring is already costly enough in my mind....as I don't see Sony releasing DC universe, GT5, LBP2, SOCOM4, The Last Guardian, Infamous 2, Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 all this fall....and whats worse is I think I forgot some

While that does suck, I'm actually somewhat glad.

I'll have more time to play other games like Reach and SOCOM 4, plus; they can polish the game!

WTF is the point when several other publishers will see the same congested holiday period and then postpone all their games the following March as well just like what happened in 2009
