LittleBigPlanet 2 FAQ clears up some confusion, confirms Stephen Fry

The debut trailer for LittleBigPlanet 2 created more questions than it answered, most of them relating to the sequel's compatibility with DLC for the first game, and how the new features promised in said trailer would function. A handful of these queries have been put to rest by a FAQ post published on the PlayStation.Blog.

For instance, the post confirms that all objects, costumes and decorations collected in the original game should carry over, except for objects using a graphical glitch or exploit. More importantly, QI host and wildlife enthusiast Stephen Fry will reprise his role as the game's omniscient narrator. However, the FAQ also references "custom Voice Acting," a feature with a capacity for hilarity that we've yet to be able to comprehend. I would never guess!

You know, I dabbled with the level creator, but it felt a little empty in LBP. I've always wanted to make more cinematic levels with actual characters within the level, and I really had hoped the MM would add those types of tools into the game.

Now that they have, my mind is reeling about what I can do with them. And for people that are much more capable than me at the LBP tools, they must have some truly fantastic things planned!

I'm thinking... need to play around with the creator first to see what it can do.

Dude, selfishly, I would want you to add on to LittleDeadSpace! However, it would be awesome to see you make something completely different for LBP2!

If Stephen Fry is voicing it again, then i will buy it anyway.

I love Stephen Fry. He is actually amazing

so true. he sounds witty, funny, and interesting all at the same time. I also think the accent makes him just that much more awesome.

I'd consider donating a non-essential body organ to have Stephen Fry follow me around for the day and narrate my every action.

Given how Stephen Fry in involved in this game, hopefully Custom Voice Acting will be this game's equilvent to the buzzers in QI.

And someone who makes World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros should have their soundtrack replaced by the klaxon. Been there, done that (at least 43 times).
