It shouldn't be a surprise - they asked me four times if I wanted to reserve it every time I walked into the store!

When I went to Gamestop, the employee got mad because I told him I already had preordered it on Amazon so I could get the golden guns. He starting ranting about how useless it was and about how the Gamestop preorder bonus was better, I was like bro, you need to relax. I mean jeez, these people take their job way too seriously.

A commentor on A jostiq/xbox post said the gamestop preorder is glitched out. One of the tasks to unlock the outfit never appears or something...

It worked for me and I pre-ordered from Gamestop. It's either that or he got the same issue that I got the first time I tried to put in the code. I got a message saying that the servers were busy or something.

But I definitely have the task for the Deadly Assassin's outfit. I just thought I'd be able to use it automatically.

Amen to that. I bought Splinter Cell Conviction and had to practically smack the sales associate's hand away from my wallet. He seemed REAL adamant about getting my five bucks.

The company is run by monkeys and it can be annoying for people, but enosoma is pretty close: their jobs are kinda on the line. Allotted weekly hours and eventually keeping your job is based on performance. It sucks, but you can't totally blame the employees for hounding down reserves

There are no ads for this in the middle of nowhere in Kansas...which it seems like it would have been kind of funny to put at least one up out here somewhere.

Only T.V. ads here in Pittsburgh. I got the last copy at my gamestop on either console. My friend who came shortly after me told me that they were sold out in every store east of the city just about. So yes, I do believe that the people who run gamestop are morons. They had plenty of copies of the new prince of persia that nobody was buying and some other game that doesn't really peak my interest that came out this week. How could you NOT know that this was going to be a huge hit? I didn't pre-order cuz I thought they would order tons, it turns out they didn't and I just got lucky. Possibly a gamestop conspiracy to get you to pre-order more, kind of kidding. Only kind of, because my friends that couldn't get a copy are all saying that they will reserve EVERY game they want before it comes out.

The Gamestop I work at had about 130 pre-orders for the game. During the day Monday we got an email from corporate saying we were getting more over-nighted for us and to keep taking orders. We ended up being completely sold out of the game until this morning when we got another shipment. Those sold out by the 6 PM and we're once again waiting on copies.

Rockstar games sell like hell. But it's because the games are so great, or the marketing or maybe both?

If Rockstar games weren't great, no amount of marketing in the world would help them sell the way they do.

It's their track record. They release amazing games, and gamers know this.

A patch was released already I believe. Although I haven't been online since the update.

The patch supposedly fixes the invisible horses in Free Roam and the annoying-as-hell "network issues" in competitive multiplayer.

I guess they still haven't found a fix for Demonic Horse and Seriously High Jumping Horses.

well as far as I know, the only people to get a patch are 360's...i have restarted the game several times and no update for PS3 yet....I dont seem to be getting the same glitch as others, the only problem I'm having is occasionally the screen goes blank, but i can still see the hud at the bottom, and hear sound, but the main screen is just gone (black)

This game pretty much IS GUN 2. Activision never fails to let me down. They could've beat Rockstar to it, but I don't even think GUN 2 will interest me at this point, considering this game is like GUN on steroids.

No one I know purchased it. Having said that, my friends fall into one of three categories depending on the friend; JRPG snob, Madden player, FPS player. I don't have any friends that will play just about anything.

I didn't buy it either though. The game wasn't even on my radar until the marketing blitz, and I'm generally not a huge western fan. If it keeps reviewing as high as it has been though, I can't resist for much longer.

Rockstar stated before that Red Dead Redemption would never make profit, I wonder if that is still true? In other news, I think I randomly came across TMac *His psn was TMac-90 or something like that, so I think it was him* while playing Red Dead Redemption on ps3. Didn't he hate the ps3? Oh well, my 2 man team wrecked his 2 man team to the point of him quitting the match. So all in all, I did that for you Joystiq! No need to thank me!

Maybe the fact they never anticipated it to be this popular explains why there's been so many problems with the multiplayer servers.
