I guess this will make the sony fans that didn't get MH tri on either system a bit happier, maybe.

Awesome! I can't wait! I'm glad they put online in this one, using Adhoc Party is a pain.

So the PSP can play PSP and PSP2, but will the PSP2 play PSP and PSP2? Too?

It's taken them long enough. Still, I'm glad that I'll be able to play this in English now :)

I don't what it was, but it just didn't have the charm the first 2 did...if they just ported the first as it was to the psp, i would seriously lose everything in my life...as that game just did all the right things for me.

This is pretty exciting, considering that the online servers for the PC / PS2 were shut down earlier this year, I thought I'd been doomed to a life of single-players Phantasy Star forever. I've sunk more than 100 hours into the first Phantasy Star Portable; I'd say this one does the same. Plus, it seems from that screenshot that you can change armor on the fly in addition to weapons - that's pretty helpful. Good stuff!

Will it have mic/headphone or headset support? Does any game for the PSP (the system) have that?

So what exactly is the difference between this one and the first one?
And by "online mode", are you talking full fledged lobbies like PSU or just being able to do parties without the aid of a PS3 wired up to the internet and using Adhoc Party?
Will I be able to transfer my character from PSP1 to PSP2?
Are there new jobs available?
also, omg can't wait.

If you feel adventurous, feel free to look up the japanese demo.

If not, they've added a dodge roll, the ability to cycle through armors, the ability to shield yourself with most two handed weapons/shield weapon to guard, and Photon Points are no longer on the weapon but the user (They recharge at a relatively high rate).

Customization is slightly better the first one (and by better I mean they added an accessory option, and some new hairstyles). And some of the default clothing is rather sweet looking.

Forgot to add:

You can also charge shots from ranged weapons, Have your own 'room' to decorate with items, and the '1st person' perspective has been changed from the select button to holding L and hitting the control pad (any direction).

AI is a bit better, if they stuck on walls they'll walk back to the center of the hallway and try to follow you. If there are buttons in the room that need to be hit simultaneously, they'll do it (as long as you step on one yourself).

I think that's about it.
