The latest trailer for the game highlights the Deadlock feature, an ability that generates a small field slowing the momentum of anything caught in it. This can stop enemies dead in their tracks or help the player navigate past a deadly electrical hazard. Perhaps its greatest ability is how it affects munitions -- bullets slow down to a crawl, making what would otherwise be a bullseye for a huge rocket result in a miss.

I'm sorry, but that comment sounded like a plant. You work for the studio?
We have been hearing about this game for a real long time and watching as it losses momentum from not arriving in 2009 as it was supposed to. Heck, it was the Feb 2009 game informer that it was on the cover of. That was a ways back! I was excited for it then, but now...I dunno.

Who cares about momentum... Frak mainstream
look at mw2, rushed to come out and glitches as hell AND lame/no story.
TF2 took their sweet as time to come out and look at the success, even if you don't like it, they have a very strong fanbase...
Online gets the glory but offline wins the game (mw1 was better then mw2)
Rather they take their time (not too long tho), usually means they noticed a big bug in their code or want to add cool features or who cares...
(You sound like an EA groopy...)

I have no idea what you're talking about. I said nothing about MW, online vs offline, or fixing bugs. You have no idea what you are even talking about - they delayed their game to avoid releasing it in a packed window.

Sh*t, I sound like an EA groupy? Based on me saying nothing about them? You got me there! You sound like a ranting child. You type incoherently too.

This really looks like it could be some fun. Can't wait to hear more about it.

Haha, god no I'm not! Just seen some of the videos for this game here and thought it looks good. Though working for a games company would be sweet! :D

Let's not pull another Wolfenstein, Raven!
I have a lot of hope for this, but Wolfie was disappointing.

Looks like a wolfenstein meets timeshift
very interesting, like the approach...
i'm going to bite when it comes out
good trailers give the illusion of a well finished/not rushed game
Don't disappoint Raven!
Side note:
(I hope the power drain isn't as taxing as wolfenstein... didn't have enough fun cause of it
hope they go with a big gauge and heavy enemy pressure
ww2 is getting dull tho, but i prefer it then anything that has iran, iraq or bs)

I will wait for reviews and such. Raven Soft hasn't exactly kept on par these days with their releases.

I know they'd never do it, but it would be pretty hilarious if you could performs Babalities on your enemies. I suppose the assumed baby-shooting though would be frowned upon by "people with a moral compass."

Deadlock in multiplayer would be really cool. It would be interesting to see the world from inside that time bubble. I imagine everything outside would be going very fast. I'd hate to see someone bearing down on me at hyperspeed though. I don't know if it's feasible to represent that in realtime multiplayer though. They'd probably just slow you down so that the time frame is consistant for all players rather than relative to individual players. Oh well, a gamer can dream... a gamer can dream.

Didn't Activision already state that campaign is in the 5-hour range?
Hardly the best way to sell a game, that turned me off since I don't see the MP having much of a lasting impression. At least they're being honest though.

It does look cool, but reminds me very much of Time Shift (which I acutally liked). But we'll see, kinda rather rent it first, but I'm sure I'll end up buying it. Kinda like Lost Planet 2, told myself I'd wait and rent it, then was at the store Saturday and ended up taking it home.
