We could go on about all of the badass ninja action going on in the Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 trailer above, but we just can't get past how amazing it all looks in HD. It's like this trailer opened our skull and scooped out our brain, only to leave a drooling husk of a human being in its wake. We guess it's kinda impressive we managed to write this post.
So hit the play button above and see Naruto and company throw down in splendid HD glory. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 launches this fall.
The 1st ninja storm was good? I might have to check it out then. I bought a couple of the ultimate ninja games on the ps2 and although they weren't terrible I just couldn't bring myself to drop down more mullah for anymore Naruto games. This trailer might have just changed my mind. I am too much of a fan of Naruto to let this pass me by. Naruto Foreva!
The only things I didn't like about the first one was the lack of online, and the lack of characters (particularly no Zabuza). The campaign was really good, especially the large-scale battles involving Summonings.
I cant wait for number 2 though. I have a feeling that story-wise they will stop after Pain's defeat.
Only thing I didn't like about the first game was the character count could have been a tad higher. How was it that the Sound 4 were only support characters and not playable? Other than that, it was an awesome game. I got the second game for Xbox360 (The Broken Bond), and it was just terrible compared to Ultimate Ninja Storm. The only thing it did better was the ability to climb pretty much ANYTHING in free-roam mode as opposed to requiring certain areas to run up walls. Anyways, I'm really looking forward to Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 and I'm glad it's using characters all the way up through the Pain arc (I'd almost assume they would only use the first season or two's worth of characters, but I was more than happy to be proven wrong).
Have you read the new Bleach? Its actually pretty epic. I stopped reading it ages ago, but a friend recommended that I start again and I did. I'm glad too. Its amazing, I'd recommend to give it another shot, I'm glad I did.
The problem with Bleach is that each chapter just barely moves the story forward at all. Kubo Tite is way too liberal with using full page panels. Think about it, we've essentially been watching the same battle since June of 2008 (chapter 317 is about where the battle in Karakura town starts). In comparison, Naruto in June of 2008 was just dealing with Jiraiya's battle with Pain. Naruto as a story has come a LOOONG way since then whereas Bleach is on the same arc. Don't get me wrong, I still read Bleach every week, but Naruto is definitely the superior of the two stories.
I love Naruto, but I had to stop watching the series when Sasuke turned to the Dark Side. My favorite character turning absolutely stupid was a depressing feeling.
what the hell are you talking about? He is crazy now and darker then ever. The manga is starting to go downhill imo, but I have followed Naruto for like 8 years now and I just have to see how it ends.
the fact that naruto got stronger than sasuke even though he's not a uchiha and has no bloodline limit (don't forget that at that point in time, sasuke doesn't know about the nine-tails) on top of the fact that itachi (whom sasuke swears to kill and again, at that point in time, naruto is stronger than sasuke which translates into naruto is more likely to be able to take on itachi than sasuke is) is more focused on capturing naruto justifies sasuke's decision.
Sorry for the double post, but I just realized that also means that there is the possibility of 8/9 tailed Naruto being playable, beyond just Sage Mode.
I think the proper way to end this game would probably be around that point where Naruto goes Sage Mode Uberpwnage. Ending with Jiraiya's fight would be uhhh.....a bit of a downer.......
@suichimo: I don't think 8/9 tailed will be playable. He only did a brief appearance in the manga/anime, and didn't really do any fighting. It would also not be so good with gameplay, he is huge and really overpowered. Since the game has to be balanced, it wouldn't be right if anyone could defeat the 9 tails. There is a possibility of the 3/4 tails though, even though he is also one powerful bitch. But I do hope for more characters this time. Young and old versions of everyone from last game, all the hokages, akatsuki members, and asuma etc. Would be kick ass
I wonder how they'll do the Pains, wether they'll have all 6 as playable characters or what...should be interesting regardless....I just can't wait to kick some ass online with Killer-Bee...and if they have Killer-Bee then they have to have Akatsuki Sasuke which would be cool. This game is going to kick so much ass.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNQc9NiAJB0 go to 1:11 :D there are so many characters in this game that it's incredible. Since Sage Naruto is in the game, the story should go pretty far, even close to the American Shippuden manga. Can't wait for this game!
Don't get me wrong, while I dislike the show, (and it's protagonist,) I love Naruto games, but when it's coming out around the same time as a DBZ game, I can't bring myself to choose anything other than good ole DBZ.
I consider myself my pretty big Naruto fan, as I've read every chapter and I look for spoilers and discuss the series. However, I haven't touched a single Naruto video game, and this might be the first one. Digging the art style and gameplay looks fun.
I encourage you to buy Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 for PS3, if you have the chance. I played it with no knowledge of the Naruto series, but that game turned me into a fan. Really great game, tons of fun.
As you are a naruto fan, i encourage you to play the ps2 naruto games as well as you get to experience the fourth's incredible speed - which is the second most important highlight of naruto games in the ps2 generation (itachi's super-moves are more important to me)
...but the music from the first game is WAY better. I still have the trailers saved on my HDD on my PS3 just to listen to the music every now and then.
Agree, the music in the first game was amazing. I have the full soundtrack here. But I think UNS2 could have some great music as well, you can't really judge it from the trailer.
For years, I have been avoiding Naruto and anime, because I didn't want to be "one of those guys". But I downloaded the demo for the first game, and me and a friend played some multiplayer... Long story short: I bought the full game, watched the anime, and reading the manga. That is the effect that game had on me, amazing game.
Considering how good the first was, even without basic things as online multiplayer, and a "meh" hubworld, this has some really great potential!
Yes, amine fans can be obnoxious and like every anime series just because it is anime. But there are good anime. Very good in fact. Some examples that you might want to watch.
But there are a few things that makes this series so great; the characters, they can be incredibly funny and you can actually feel their personality. They don't feel cashed in just to progress the story, if anything, the story is only there for the characters. The setting; it's set in an alternate feudal Japan that has a mix of modern hip-hop culture (Champloo means remixed, basically). The music; don't judge the whole soundtrack based on the opening theme song. The artist of most the soundtrack is Nujabes who does nice, chill, jazz hip-hop. As I mentioned, the pacing; it usually starts out with a more serious, dramatic episode followed by a comical one. It works really well.
Sorry, I didn't mean to turn this into a mini-review of Samurai Champloo. I kind of got carried away. I actually cut out a lot of what I said to shorten this...
