It works on your Xbox 360 just like a real, functioning adult person's flash drive(TM).

At least it's not the 512MB Memory Unit that used to be $40.

its not a scam. It is only to get the uneducated to buy it. Is it really a scam if everything one needs to know before purchasing the product is open information?

I have a flash drive that I know will already work on the 360, but not everyone else does. They just see "flash drive for xbox 360" and assume its the only brand that works.

The real scam is the 360 hard drives, since there aren't any other options (that won't get you banned from Live). $130 for 250GB is ridiculous when a 1TB PC hard drive is something like $80.

And yet I bought one, my 20 gig drive just didn't cut it anymore. *sigh*

scam or not, it's just one of the many reasons why the 360 is simply not the bargain the PS3 has been for me.

My PS3 has 500 gb internal... $70 a while back. It's got 2 TB hooked by USB full of movies... and I can move that to my PC because it's not gimped (ahem). $140.

My sister has a 512 mb card that cost as much as a game. That's no longer the going rate, and I wouldn't call it a scam, but it's inferior.

And a lot of people get a base 360 because they want to save money and are poorly informed. They wind up getting far less than they meant to get and have to spend more than they meant to. Scam? Not legally, but it's not all that friendly either.

What do you even need 1TB of HDD for on a gmae system that isn't illegal?

wii60gamer, it's funny that I said 'sounds like someone who doesn't have a PS3' before I read your nick.

I easily filled my 60 gb on my PS3. I have about 200 gb solely of DLC and PSN games. Probably a good 50 of that is meant to speed up blu-ray gaming.

The 2 TB USB drive has all my DVDs ripped onto it. That's a lot of material, which is a lot easier to manage than bothering to hunt for a disc. But the internal drive, the half TB, is not for stolen content. Even games from 2 generations ago can take up more than a GB. FF8 and 9 are well over a GB.

And my PS3 is a ten year cycle device. I wouldn't be surprised if I need to replace the 500 gb with a much larger drive before I'm done with this console. I downloaded a movie from PSN and it was 8 freaking GBs.

And it's in this context that I say I really appreciate being able to get a cheap HDD instead of proprietary crap. I know, Sony likes their special formats too, but on this issue, the PS3 is really wonderful.

I do own a PS3, but I still don't see the need for the space. I have a 120GB Slim, and it maybe has about 3-4GB taken up. I don't download movies from the store(or XBL), as it's a rip-off and I'd rather own the Blu-rays, and there's seriously not 200GB worth of legitimate content on PSN. I don't even know if there is on XBLA.

Also, I said "that isn't illegal." Ripping games and movies from discs (even the ones you already own and purchased is, so you're point is moot.

I did like the demo on the PC. I may actually have to get the 360 version since I never use my 360 and I may be interested in the DLC, whereas DLC usually never hits the PC. : (

And $40 is a steal. Too many racing games out now. Blur, S/S, and Modnation.

oh god...No....No!... Not that movie! I required years of therapy after watching that movie. Aside from the horrible plot, acting and the audience's need to completely ignore all laws of physics, when take out the slow-mo scenes, the movie is only 13 minutes long.

What the ...? If Nic Cage is in the movie - it's a great movie*

* does not apply for Ghost Rider/Bangkok Dangerous. Everything else is just awesome. Seriously. I could watch a 2-hour movie with slow-mos of Nicolas Cage** walking towards the camera while everything in the background explodes.

**also applies for Bruce Willis.
