Players tap to hold up to six chocobos of the correct colors, and then must let go of specific chocobos by taking a finger off the iPad. This simple gameplay is available in both single-player and co-op modes, the latter featuring alternating turns. In simultaneous two-player mode, players compete until one makes a mistake.
