Are you enjoying your nightly Wild West adventures through the expansive world of Red Dead Redemption, but wish the game was set in a more contemporary, urban environment? Here's a fun little fact you might not know: Before making Red Dead, Rockstar worked on a series called "Grand Theft Auto," which fits that very niche. Amazon recently reduced the price on the most recent GTA release by one Hamilton: Episodes from Liberty City, now available through the online retailer for $29.99 on consoles and $19.99 on PC.
Just don't be alarmed when your precious horsies are replaced by unfeeling metal automobiles, or when your beautiful, intricately crafted six-shooters are replaced by primitive-looking rocket-propelled grenades. That, dear friends, is the steep price of modernity.

Great deal here. Both are great additions to the GTA4 story. Achievements of TBOGT are rough though.

I'm good with my Horsies thanks....assuming they stopped getting mauled by cougars when I'm riding them

Those damn cougars come out of nowhere sometimes... I'm trying to save some stranger's wife from being strung up, and here comes a bloody cougar and nicks my damn horse! Ugh... (Hey, btw, I tried adding you as a friend on PSN, but it said you had to many... LOL)

is this a permanent price change via Amazon?
or only a temporary sale?

So...now the episodes cost as much as the entire game of GTA 4?

This is a terrible deal. I bought it from Amazon just a month ago for $29.99 and a $10 video game credit.

Maybe I'm a cheap bastard, but are these addons really worth even this price? I just want to make sure my limited budget gets the most bang for my buck, and if it is worth it, I will definitely save up, but at this point, I'm busy racing mods and chasing bandits in the west...

I'm not a die hard GTA fan, but I enjoyed the last one enough to finish it. But after Red Dead Redemption, I would not care if they stopped making GTA games. At least until the next generation of consoles comes out, and they can really do it right.

You can always email Amazon, they will reduce the price for you or give you some kind of credit. I have done this several times, they have a very good customer service.

Just finished it, it was worth the price, imo.

$30?
It's almost worth that price.
It probably would be if I hadn't played gta4 to death years ago.
Right now I got my open world hands full with Just Cause 2 and RDR; both of which are a little bit less disappointing than gta4 was.
Only a little.
