Super Mario Crossover was already a miracle, faithfully dropping protagonists from Contra, Mega Man, Castlevania, Zelda and Metroid into Super Mario Bros. A teaser trailer (that's right, a trailer for a Flash game!) after the break heralds the arrival of another NES-era champion: the wall-climbing, statue-hunting ninja in the sleeveless uniform, Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa. Ryu brings his wall-climbing ability from his NES games, as well as the shuriken and boomerang-style Windmill Shuriken weapons.
Now we'll get to see how powerful Ryu can be in a game free of heat-seeking birds! Or, we'll get to see that whenever creator Jay Pavlina actually makes the new version of Crossover available.
This is the internet. It's possible to head them off in development, but once something hits the web, it's almost impossible to shut down ALL the people that have copied it.
Most nintendo fan games never get shut down and those that do are usually just making up an excuse for quitting or trying to charge money. I know games which were posted on the old nintendo forums and never got shut down.
...and while they're at it they could replace the princess with Lara Croft, change the setting to a Halo ring, render everything int 720p HD, throw in motion controls, and toss in a few preorder incentives with vendor exclusives.
wtf why is thar making ninja gaiden sigma all dum and picksley. He should look like he did in thr original from 2007. why do they have to try to make everythin lppk old and retro, stopid old peeple. ps. it needs marcuss feenux
I actually tried that on my iPhone and, while it was sweet as all hell, Android lagged like a mofo. Still it's pretty damn awesome that we have the ability to dual boot our smartphones!
By the way Chris, are you getting a new phone? What do you think about the Evo? I've had my iPhone for 2 years now and I think it might be time to move on. Or should I wait to see what El Jobs has to offer on June 7th?
yea the guy said he had to do a lot more optimization for it, but I'm sure there are a number of nerds working on that for the iPad alone....
the Evo is bad ass.....I just fcuking HATE sprint....even tho here in Greensboro we were a Test are for the WiMax network and I know people that love Clear for it, I just can't make that move, even for the Evo...and I wish VZ or AT&T had their 4G LTE network up by the end of the year.....then we could possibly see a 4G iPhone next year....but I have a 3Gs and will most likely upgrade to the iPhone that comes out next month....and then again....something tells me I will love the WinPho7 based phones will be outstanding....
well WinMo dies with 6.5....WinPho7 is a complete overhaul from the ground up....
the reason it so appealing to me is because EVERY phone will be a Zune....and I was going to jump on the ZuneHD as soon as it hit 64GBs.....but I think I'll just wait for a WinPho7 smartphone that has 64GBs....maybe Toshiba or Samsung will make one that big.....as I feel everyone else will stay in the 8GB or less range....
Considering the development costs of all the games it borrows from, that's hardly an accurate assessment.
Yes, I understand what you're saying, but as much as we pat the developers on the back for being imaginative in bringing together all these characters into the Mario universe, it's only because the original games' creators put so much into the source material that we even give a damn.
