Capcom has finally released some in-game shots of Marvel vs Capcom 3. The screens are missing HUD elements, but that's fine -- we just wanted to see how the game would "blur the line between 2D and 3D graphics." Frankly, we're surprised it doesn't look more like Super Street Fighter IV. And not a single curleh mustache in sight? How will the fans react?

I like the 3D cel-shaded look and it seems to be pulling its own style that's similar (and different) from SFIV...

I don't usually complain about Joystiq posting news after it's broken on other sites (and I'm not doing so now), but can you really say "finally" when Shoryuken has had scans of these screenshots for over a week now?

Is it because the scan is technically a "rumor" and you guys wanted to wait for an official release? I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm genuinely curious.

Yea im starting to get fed up with joystiqs lateness myself . . .

I mean they will a leave a post that nobody cares about up on there main page for hours. But as soon as some good juicy news comes up they ignore it or post it very late (cough*GOW3 pics*cough)

They like to verify....like they did for CAPtivate a month or so ago.....you want ALL news? Truth or made up then go to NfourGee....I personally can't stand the site

well then how much will it hurt them to add a rumor tag, and letting it be left at that? I come here mostly for the community and the discussions that get brought up. It kinda hard to have a strong community when you only post 7 post a day(6 of which are boring and only get around 12 comments). Especially when a competitor site cranks out posts like theres no tomorrow.

I kinda like the balance that Kotaku has going in terms of post speed/ Post number. But there site is a mess and i reuse to go over there and get lost in the horde.

7 post a day? Uhhh are you just coming mostly on weekends?? Hell even the sub sites get more than 7 post on a weekday...

ok maybe that was a little low, Maybe i see it that way because i browse over the articles that dont interest me . . . . but it defiantly pales in comparison to other sites.

And i dont even bother with the sister sites anymore after there update, i just stick to the main site.

I figured it had to do with verification and I respect the 'stiq for that, there's nothing worse than getting excited just to find out it was a rumor, but I do like the idea of a rumor tag or some such device.

I'm on Joystiq mainly for the good discussion with a solid community. That's something I never get on Kotaku or other such sites.

Actually, you can blame that on the laziness of the author for not double-checking what they write and instead relying on shortcuts.

Not gonna happen. It's already been stated this game will have less than MvC2.

I get suckered into buying Capcom fighting games all the time and to this very day I still can't pull off any moves or know how to do anything. The controls are just too convoluted. I can kick some but with Chung Lie (speedkicks and throws) and that's about it.

You know which character is a good one to start out with?

Cant pull off a special move to save my life in Capcom games (now mortal combats a different story all together!) but i learned my lessons a long time again and stop buying the games. not to say there bad or anything . . .

I still buy them and play with friends......just wait to catch them on sale....I know I'm gonna get my ass stomped but it's always in good fun...
