But i always wonder do they really REALLY get so much money for being exclusive?? how much microsoft pays for this??? because let´s be real... exclusives exist only because the publisher gets a good amount of money for not releasing the game anywhere else but in one platform, do they really get a payment so good that it´s better than selling more copies on any other platform?? anyway this is just plain stupid, i mean come on, we are not going to buy an xbox or any other platform for a specific game or two, that´s just plain stupid.

well i don´t really see how they are cutting on piracy with this... all the titles of xbox even small ones are available one way or another in pirate form... the only one who is more safe is the ps3 and that´s only because blue rays doesn´t cost peanuts yet. Anyway i know this old story, some months later... the game appears for everybody else, that´s been the rule for most of this games......

Protip: You wouldn't be pissed off if you had an Xbox 360. I've already talked it over with my PS3, and she assures me she won't mind one bit that I'll be playing Limbo on my 360 this summer-ish.
Plus, they didn't outright say it wasn't coming to PS3 and PC. Rather it seemed he worded it so as to almost confirm that a version would come at a later date for both platforms and is currently on hold.
Owning, playing, and loving all platforms ftw.

good. ps3 doesnt need anymore crappy xbox ports. anything that was made on xbox first and then made for ps3 i really always try to stay away from.

I typed without thinking. Its a downloadable game. I bet the contract with xbox will end in a year or two and then the rights are open for pc and ps3 to snatch it. It has happened before. Live calls firsties in order to make profit out of a game before the competition does. Once profit ends there's no need to stay in contract.

how is this done you ask?.. Well an exclusive game for lets say xbox360, will create more focus and projection onto that console.
proof? well foirst of all, you are all talking about limbo, and by doing so, have no other option but to talk about Xbox360, your main focus and attention is placed solely on xbox360.
So you see how having exclusive rights in the short term or long term for a console does, it defines that console onto a market of its own
MARKETS MATTER. and right now xbox360 is in the market.
