How would you like to feel like Lando Calrissian all of the time? It's pretty easy -- and you don't even need to betray your friends or star in a Colt 45 commercial, either. Simply head on over to Amazon and pick up Split/Second at a reduced price of $40.
Feeling lost? Well, then you didn't read our review. Don't worry, we won't hold it against you, so long as you promise you'll read it right now. Please, don't make us turn this into a thing. Thaaaaaanks!

The commercial looked like a Michael Bay movie :(

And that's a bad thing for a kick-ass racing game?

They're matching Best Buy's price. I picked it up yesterday at BB for $40. Great game and anyone who likes racing games should check it out. The driving is kind of like Midnight Club so it's not super realistic or anything but it is very very fun.

I'd say the driving feels more like.. Burnout Paradise.
The driving in Blur is a tad more stiff, which I would relate to Midnight Club.
Just my opinion though!

MC:LA stiff? I guess we agree to disagree kind sir. For me, Split Second has the same semi realistic but arcade feel of MC:LA ... It drives a little more realistic (but not realistic by any stretch) than a pure arcade racer like Burnout Paradise. I've been playing a lot of MC lately so maybe everything is going to feel that way.

Well, I guess what I mean is..
In Burnout, it's real floaty. The cars don't feel like they don't have much weight, and I love that. It's fast, it's responsive, and you can drift and slide around like nobody's business.
The cars in Midnight Club actually felt like they were gripping the road, like they had weight, so.. I guess that's where I get 'stiff' from. =P

On sale this soon? I think they know Blur's better.

Blur could be the second coming with a lifetime supply of free ice cream and I still wouldn't buy anything from Activision.
Blur is way too generic anyway

Its a shame how often they drop prices on the .com site but rarely give anything on .co.uk. I buy most my games from them anyway, would just be nice to get a £10 gift card ro seomthing now and again :(

It's a trade-off.
You get the amazing Blu-Ray deals.
We get the gaming deals.
I just bought the Bourne Trilogy on Blu-Ray last night from Amazon.co.uk for $27.
It's still $60'ish at the lowest, here.

Split Second is great. The price lowered yesterday on Amazon so I had to buy it and use my $10 credit.
$29.99 and free shipping! I love my employee discount @ GS but I love Amazon too.

Picked it up @ Best Buy for $40 yesterday. Had some friends over. Played it on my 50" Plasma and had it on loud on my surround sound system. We had a blast. Lots of "Ooohhhh!!!" and "Dammmm!!!" moments. Definately a fun game, highly recommend it, especially for 40 bucks.
